Chapter 4
Adrian's POV
My wolf immediately readied himself because whatever was there wasn't something good.
The atmosphere was stale all for a sudden and I knew that danger was arising.
I could feel it in me, just then a shadow appeared from behind and gnashed his teeth.
I swerved immediately and transformed into my wolf form and pounced on him. This was a rouge wolf, I sniffed the air and I could tell that more were coming. They were coming in an army and their aim was to take over our Kingdom.
That was one gift I had, I guess nature decided to help me out in some parts of life because it denied me of parental love.
I quickly clawed this rouge and tore it in half, when I was sure that it was dead, I shifted back to my wolf form and ran back inside the pack house sealing the doors as I went.
I was running to meet the Alpha when I entered the grand room and met the devilish duo staring at me with fear written all over them.
Of course, they knew that rouges were in the building and they couldn't try to do anything about it.
And here's a guy thats competing the Alpha position with me, how interesting!!!
"Instead of standing there shivering like chickens that are wet from rain, you could try to make yourself useful " I said sarcastically and ran off with my initial aim of finding the beta.
I ran up the stairs only to meet the beta running down.
"Beta Ethan, rouges are in the pack house." I announced panting furiously as we ran down together.
"I'm aware of that, gather the gamma's to seal the doors." He ordered as he stared at Aryan and mother whilst shaking his head.
"I already sealed the doors, but it won't hold them off for long. I would suggest we gather the whole members right here in the grand hall. " I advised and he nodded.
" That's a great idea, Adrian. Please do so, and you Aryan, could you make yourself useful for once. " Beta Ethan groaned with a tone I recognized to be disgust and disdain blended together.
I immediately went to the pack's media room and used the external microphone to make the announcement so everyone would get the information quicker and faster.
*Kring* *Kring* *Kringgg*
"All pack members are expected to turn up at the grand room immediately." I blared with a tone of urgency into the microphone.
I kept blaring out the message repeatedly as the speakers carried the message to the end of the pack house and just like that, everyone started trooping into the grand room.
Blaring the message continuously for about 10 minutes, my head was moving in circles on how to protect all these people that made up my pack.
Just then, I remembered that there was a tunnel that led outside this vicinity but I wasn't sure where it was. I read about it in the legendary book of the alpha lineage.
I guess the only person that could know about this tunnel if there was any, was Beta Ethan.
I ran out of the media room and ran back to the pack house looking for beta Ethan.
And i still met Aryan and my mother, Luna Ashina still rooted on the spot.
"Are you being serious right now?." I asked Aryan with a tone of haughty disdain.
"What am I supposed to do?." He asked shivering.
"Are you for real?." I asked surprised with the rubbish he just blurted out.
" I mean, you want to be the pack's Alpha right, this is what it's about. Protecting your people, protecting your pack, knowing what to do when situations like this arises. " I explained fed up with the fact that he was my twin.
"What effrontery do you have to lecture my son on what he is to do?. " Luna Ashina asked with a glare on her face. I've vowed never to call her mother cause she isn't a mother figure.
"I'm sorry your highness, but take a look at the people around you. They are all waiting to see what their future Alpha looks like, I don't have this time to waste though I have other things to attend to. " I said and excused myself.
I ran out looking for Beta Ethan, if there was anywhere he would be right now, it would be in the the front of the battle which was the door. They would be guarding the door Incase the mystic seal broke lose.
I ran to the door and as expected Beta Ethan was there.
"Good job Adrian!." He commended and gave me a high five.
"I was thinking about something." I said in haste and he leaned in closer.
"I read about a certain tunnel that leads outside this vicinity but I was wondering if there could be anything like that. " I whispered and his brows creased..
"Yes, there are two tunnels. We would use the one that everyone could know about because the second one is very confidential. " Beta Ethan said and smiled.
Then he ordered the gamma's to lead the people into the tunnel.
" I must commend you for this Adrian, you're a very fast thinker. " He said and I smiled in contentment.
I went back into the grand room as everyone was been led out till it was remaining just I, Luna Ashina, Beta Ethan and Aryan.
Aryan and Luna Ashina made to move into the tunnel but me been me stopped them.
"Don't tell me you're about shying away from danger. " I said in contempt and that earned me a glare from Luna Ashina.
Oh bless the spirits for my sake, dear goddess. When did the woman start glaring at every single word I uttered?
I was about saying something else when I heard my name from behind my head.
"Adrian." The voice came and I swerved.
"Jasmine, what are you doing here?."
