Chapter 1 Adrian's Pov. I laid on the bed reminiscing on everything that had been going on lately in my life. Just then i heard a soft knock on the door that jolted me out of my ocean of thoughts and saved me from drowning. "Come in!." I ordered as i laid down resignedly on the bed, With both of my hand on my head as I lay slumped. The sound of creaking doors could be heard as my door opened slowly and quietly, i raised my head slightly only to see one of the palace maids. I just heaved a sigh and remained still reluctantly as i prepared myself mentally to hear whatever news she must have brought for me. "Your mother, the luna ordered that you be informed that the elders have called and emergency meeting!." She informed and i sighed again. Anytime I call you on these kind of situation, it always ends up disastrous.. Not like they ever had anything to say, they never have anything reasonable to say but this particular meeting has a good feeling to it. "Alright, I'll be down in a jiffy." I replied as She walked out of the room. I hated going close to my family!! They hated me, especially my mother and twin brother after i lost my father due to the war. I stood up from the bed and put on a pair of flipflops. I walked towards the grand room as i knew that was the only place the elders assembled and most importantly when they were to address people of the royal home. "Wow, you've become a royal show, huh? You've been practically the one we have all been waiting for, for like hours." Mum yelled as she eyed me maliciously. This life had really dribbled me, sometimes i felt like laughing and other times i felt like crying my hearts and eyes out but that would be of no use. "Its just now the maids informed me and i did my best to get myself down the instant i heard of the arrival of the elders." I defended as i tried in my own little means to justify my actions. "Oh just shut it and seat down like the others." She snapped and i immediately obliged as i wasn't ready for any kind of argument. Just then, my bad manners flashed at the back of my head, I had not even have the time or slightest chance to acknowledge the elders properly. "Forgive my rude manners, fathers. I greet you all specially." I greeted as i resumed my seat again. "You're very much welcome, dear son. So we called this meeting to let every one of you know that you twin are now of age." He started and we all nodded our head in agreement. "Due to the unfortunate event that led to our previous Alpha king dying when his children and offsprings were yet newborn, his beta had to claim and assume position till the time is deemed fit for his offspring to ascend the throne. Well, its with gladness in our heart that we have all come to terms that our Alpha's offspring has now come of age." He said and they all clapped in unison. "But considering the fact that, our Alpha had twins as his survivor, in a bid to handle justice fairly we have come up with a solution that would make it easier for us all to handle." He continued and this was my queue to listen attentively. "There's no way around it!!! My baby boy, Prince Aryan should be crowned the Alpha." She stated matter of factly. "Under what terms?." I growled almost immediately, i see no way and how Aryan was better than me for the throne as there was no way i would seat there and watch my own brother ascend the thrones without some heat. "Well, Aryan is my son and I give him a thought to his thought in his father's voice as his father isn't here to guide him." She said as she slightly brushed his hair that stuck out. "Hold on....hold on. Hold up, Aryan is your son right? So what am I? Your noodles?." I asked as anger surged through my whole being, I didn't pour his anger against your angry mater . "Do you question me, Adrian?." She asked glaring hardly at me but i couldn't care less. "This is not about questioning or challenging you, mother. It seems like I'm invincible in this pack and thats why i want to know under what terms , Aryan surpasses me?. I Poured out and i kind of liked the surprise look that crashed from my mothers brow by my outburst. "Whatever, do well council of elders to prepare, for the coronation of your Alpha King Aryan. And for the records, Alpha Prince Adrian is your soon to be leader. He even shifted and transformed way earlier before you." Mum spat out as none of her words made sense to me, the only effect they had was that they sounded like venom but since anyone smashes and has refused for peace to reign in this house. "But that's not fair.... how am I to be judged that I was able to access my wolf three years after my brother accessed his?." I asked trying to choke up the tears that were brewing in my eyes. "That is the reason why the council of elders sat together and deliberated this matter, and this is the deliberation that was reached and vaguely accepted by everyone. Which of you finds your mate first gets the chance to become the enthroned Alpha. "He proclaimed and we gasped. Just then, let's think. How am I supposed to find her? Just imagine, my wolf is in another pack that is far away from here. I just stood up like someone in a daze and walked out. I really need some cool breeze at this point. And with this, the quest and line drawn to finding my mate came with us. So how do we find mate?
