Adrian's POV
"Jasmine, what are you doing here?." I asked as I looked at her in disbelief, my wolf leaped for joy at her sight.
Gosh that smile. Her smile was so contagious that I had to smile as well.
"Well, I'm here to help out." She said and that was when I noticed a spear in her hands, looking behind her I saw a legion of armies and i smiled.
"Who told you we needed help?." I asked approaching her.
"No one has to tell me, I kind of heard though from passerbys so I decided to intervene. After all, one good turn deserves another. " She stated and I couldn't help but smile. She would make a very fine and brave Luna some day.
"Well, now that you're here before we get engrossed in a blood bathed war. Let me run the introductions. "
"Everyone, this is Jasmine Cortex, a very dear friend of mine. " I introduced, intentionally omitting the part of her been my mate.
And Jasmine, meet my mother; Luna Ashina. My twin brother, Alpha Prince Aryan. And our pack's beta, he's more like a father to me now, Beta Ethan." I continued and she smiled displaying a perfect set of white teeth.
"Hi." She said and beta Ethan smiled at her but as expected the devilish duo just stared at her with contempt.
There was no time to say anything as we all noticed that the seal was breaking loose, everyone got into defensive positions as we awaited an outpour of rouges, our gamma's and warriors were on high alert, Jasmine's army were also on high alert, Luna Ashina and Aryan were on.......Wait, where are they?
I immediately looked towards the direction of the tunnel only to see then creeping away, oh dear goddess.
And with a swooshy sound, the door came open and the rouges poured in. Blood was in the air as we clawed and tore and pounced upon but no matter how hard I fought, my eyes were always on the lookout for Jasmine.
Checking up on her every second, I found that she was a very good fighter and was managing on her own, I repeat, she would make great Luna some day and if fate would smile on me, she would rule by my side.
We fought and fought with zealousness and renewed vigour till the rouges were forced to retreat. They backed off whole we pursued killing what was left of them.
After that, we returned to the pack house and now I take a closer glimpse, it was a horrible sight. With blood and bones and flesh ripped in pieces, it was an eerie sight.
"Woah, that was intense!." I was the first to break the silence and just like that from a smile we all bursted into laughter celebrating our victory.
"We really appreciate Miss Jasmine, without you most of these wouldn't have been possible. Thank you so much." Beta Ethan appreciated and she smiled broadly.
"I didn't do anything, by the way, we all fought side by side." She stated raising her hands like someone defeated.
"Go and hit the victory chant. " Beta Ethan ordered the gamma's and the procession began.
This was a way of telling our pack members that we won and they were safe to return home, so as the chant began, our pack members started trooping in from the front gate.
As everyone cheered and Jubilated, I used the opportunity to have some alone time with Jasmine as I took her outside the pack for a stroll.
"You were amazing today, Jasmine. I never could tell that you're the same person that was running away from a couple of wolves the other day. " I said letting off the big question from my mind.
"Thanks for the commendations but I don't usually fight. I'm kinda scared of it, so I run away at any slight opportunity. Another thing is that, I was able to fight because we were mass in number, if it were just me. Nahhhh. " She explained and i chuckled.
"Can you please trail me back home, my dad wants to see the reason why I took almost all his Armies?" She asked in low tones as she pouted her lips.
It felt like I should wrap my arms round her tiny waist and claim those full luscious and pink lips with mine.
Vivid imagination!!
"Sure, I'll be glad to meet your dad." I announced and she smiled broadly and hugged me.
Her embrace felt so warm and in her arms I felt secured, it almost felt like where a mother was cuddling her child and damn I loved every bit of it.
We walked on as we chatted about a lot of things then I remembered that she had come here with armies and isn't going with them.
"How about your warriors?." I suddenly asked as it clicked in my mind.
"Well, they are back at your pack cheering, I presume. They would come back themselves after the jubilation." She explained and i heaved a sigh of relief.
We got to her pack and my mind skipped a few beats as we were on our way to the throne room where her father was resided.
Getting there, we saw a guard at the door. Jasmine whispered to the guard, I guess telling the guard to announce our presence because the guard went in almost immediately.
Then he came out and admonished us to go in.
"Alpha Adrian, son of Trevor."
