Kane’s POV
I got up from the dining table and stormed after Hailee. I haven’t talked to her since we found my brother and learned that it was her sister that did it to him. I just couldn’t be sure that she wasn’t in on it. She may not have been there, but she could have helped or she could have known and not told me. I wasn’t ready for this fight with her, but I guess she was.
I walked through the house and didn’t find her, so I went outside and saw her sitting under a tree. The sun was setting but I could still see her and her whole body was shaking from crying so hard.
“Go to mate. Hear her out.” Mangus linked me. He was missing her.
