Alex’s POV
I woke up this morning from a mind link from my mom asking me to come over for breakfast. I was still angry with Kane. I told him not to be mad at his mate and when I saw him treating her like that, I was pissed. He had everything I wanted in a mate. Always did. When I look back, there were signs that our relationship wasn’t strong, but I refused to believe it.
I made my way back to my parents’ house and found them sitting out back again. They loved it out there and spent as much time as they could on that patio. I opened the door and as soon as I stepped onto the patio, Hailee jumped up and came and gave me a hug.
