Xander’s POV
We dropped Sophia off at my parents’ room and went to my office so we could get some work done. I wanted to meet with Miles and maybe learn more about the pack he came from. I rushed in trying to find their pack and wasn’t prepared and it almost cost me my best friend.
The three of us were in my office, and Miles looked a little scared. He had heard about what happened and I think he felt a little at fault. It wasn’t his fault; it was mine.
“OK, Miles, I want to know about your pack. Everything you can think of.”
