Chapter 28A history lesson
Nick Dodds and Paul Ferris sat opposite Klaus Haller in his comfortable cottage in the Welsh town of Wrexham. Haller had welcomed them into his home and made them wait to talk to him while he'd made fresh coffee for the three of them.
He'd then listened intently as they'd conveyed the information they'd received from Izzie Drake.
“U966?” he mused. “I know the history of most of the better known U-Boats of the war, detectives, but you must forgive me if this one doesn't immediately spring to mind.”
“But can you help us to trace its history, Herr Haller?” Dodds asked him.
“But of course. I did not mean that because I have no personal recollection of it that I cannot find out what you want. Please wait while I conduct a quick search.”
