The others watched in awe as the little yellow vehicle made its way very slowly into the dark abyss of the Norwich's long dead compartments. It was evident to all that Chief Petty Officer Lomax was highly skilled in the operation of the ROV as it alternately glided and hovered as it probed deeper into the ship. It felt eerie to them as Moriarty showed empty corridors, twisted bulkheads and hundreds of tiny fishes, illuminated and twinkling like living stars by the ROV's powerful lights. A large crab scuttled across the sloping sand covered deck, startled by this alien invader into its current home. Ross and the others were relieved that no skeletal remains suddenly leaped out at them, disturbed by the movement of the ROV, but Lomax quickly put their minds at rest.
