I sat there, going over heaps of paperwork. I looked over at the clock and saw that it was already well past midday. I couldn't help my mind wandering to Lana the whole time. Was she okay? Was she adjusting? That goddess of a woman was on my mind the whole time. I knew she was safe with Dermont. No one would ever dare to even lay a hand on her while Dermont was with her. I tried to push all of those thought aside to get some of the reading done. Just as I thought the pile of contracts were staring to get smaller, a knock on the door brought me from my streak of concentration.
