Chapter 14: Green-eyed girl

Lana P.O.V "Listen, Lana ... it's not what it looks like. I promise I can explain" Alexander said. I just stared back at Alexander. I didn't know if I wanted to be disgusted by all of this or not even surprised. Of course, everything would have turned out to be a huge scam. This was likely my brothers' way of getting back at me. I tried to keep the tears from falling down my face. I don't think I ever felt this humiliated before. It was the first time I met his pack and his booty call in a few minutes. I just shook my head as I rushed passed him. I had absolutely no idea where I was going. I think I was just following my own feet based purely on instinct. I tried to run as fast as I possibly could. All of his pack members just stared at me confused. They looked at me like I was the outsider, that was at least one thing they got right. Once my feet finally stopped, I stood in front of a door with my hand on the doorknob. I heard Alexander and Dermont calling out my name. I was in no way wanting to entertain them, my whole body ached all over. I felt the door was unlocked and decided that this would be my temporary hiding space until they would likely find me a few minutes later. My jaw nearly dropped to the ground as I stared at the room. It was huge. It was decorated in white, gold and a metal gray color. I looked over and saw that there was a balcony overlooking his pack lands. I walked inside further and saw a huge ass king-sized bed with four pillars. Huh? Who's room was this? "Lana?" I heard Alexander say as both him and Dermont came to a stop right behind me. Ugh, I wish I closed that door, perhaps then they wouldn't have gotten to me this easily. "Lana, look at me" Alexander begged me as he placed his hand on my shoulder. I flinched at the sudden movement. Alexander immediately retracted his hand, like my skin was acid or something. "Dermont, give us the room, please" I heard Alexander ask him. A few seconds later, I heard his footsteps disappear down the hallway. "Lana, please I am begging you" Alexander said before finally giving up and taking a few steps and standing right in front of me. I didn't want to look at him. I was sure the betrayal was quite evident on my face. Alexander just sighed as he cupped my face in both his hands, making me look up at him. I stared back at him and I don't even know how long we stood there. Alexander just shook his head and took me by the hand, leading me over to the bed and settling down. "Claire ... she ... ugh ... it's not what you think. She is not my girlfriend, nor my side chick or mistress. We had a fling like two years ago and ever since that happened, she thought she would become the Luna of the pack. I had no idea that she would be here today. If I knew ... I promise Lana, there's nothing going on there" Alexander tried to explain. Something out of the corner of my eye managed to catch my attention. I stood up slowly and walked over to the closet. I saw a lot of coats and fancy female clothing. Wow ... whoever lived in this room might have actually had it all. Alexander slowly followed behind me until he came to a stop right next to me. "While you were in hospital, I had the same omegas who bought you the clothes you are wearing, buy you some other clothes. I just thought it would be better to do it this way, instead of you having to go back to your old pack and get your own clothes. Everything in this closet and the one right next to it is yours. If you don't like it ... we can simply just take it back" Alexander said as he shrugged his shoulders. I looked up at him, unsure of what to say, or mind you ... how to react to the whole situation. I opted rather to just nod my head at him, before I turned around and stared out over the balcony. I looked at the woods right in front of me. This was one thing I could say for sure. He took much more care of his pack than my brothers and the previous reigning Alpha. The woods were lush green and spread right across for I don't know how many miles. I heard Alexander sigh and I just wished he would leave me alone. I needed time to process all of this s**t that happened. "Look, I will be in my office just on the other side of the pack house. If you need me, just walk down the stairs, one floor down, and then turn right, it is the last door on the end, to your left" Alexander said before turning on his heels and leaving the room. I heard the door click shut and I sighed thankfully that I was alone. I just stared out at the forest ahead of me. Memories of my mother came flooding back. The way she always took me out on walks and the way her and my father taught me how to shift for the first time. Oh, my parents. I missed them so much and I just wished that they could have been here with me. My mother would have known what to do. She would have been able to help me with everything. If they hadn't killed my parents, who knows, maybe my life would have turned out differently. I wouldn't have been rejected. I sighed and walked over to the bed and took a seat. Sitting there completely alone with my destructive thoughts.
