Chapter 13: Packhouse

1001 Words
Lana P.O.V As I unlocked the bathroom door, and slowly walked out, Alexander immediately ran over to me, wrapping his arm around my waist and taking my hand in order for me to lean on him for some support. I looked up and saw that Dermont was also here. Wow ... seems like me finally being able to leave the hospital had to be super important since the Alpha and the Beta was here to help me. I looked up at Alexander, slightly feeling uncomfortable with him touching me around my waist. I knew I had to deal with it since it would be the only way for me to get back to my bed and out of here. Once I was finally on the bed, Dermont and Alexander ran around the room, gathering all the belongings that had to go home with us. Alexander quickly shoved everything in the bag, before finally walking over to me with a huge smile on his face. "Ready to go?" Alexander asked. I just nodded my head, wanting to just get to my room and sleep some. My whole body ached all over and I couldn't help but want to be alone. "Good!" Alexander just awkwardly said before slowly helping me up and off the bed. Dermont ran over to get the bag before he left the room ahead of us. "I figured that we might take a little while to get to the car, so Demront could get his headstart and bring the car around. If the circumstances were different and you were able to walk without having any pain, I would have said we could walk back to the packhouse. But, seeing as you ardent fully recovered yet, I would suggest we take the car today" Alexander said, trying to make it all sound like a joke. I just looked the other way, not wanting to converse with him. I knew I was being rude ... but a big part of me didn't know how to handle this entire situation. It simply just felt too good to be true. We walked for what felt like forever. I couldn't wait to actually first sit down. Alexander quickly picked me up, carrying me in bridal style and carefully settled me back down in the car. I looked up at him, feeling a little pissed off by the way he carried me, but I knew that was the only plausible way to get me in the car. Dermont got in behind the steering wheel and Alexander sat in the front passanger seat. "Are we all ready to head off?" Dermont asked, waiting for Alexander to give him the final nod to head back to the packhouse. Alexander turned around and looked at me. I felt a bit uncomfortable, because I didn't know why he was waiting for my permission, it was not like I had a say in the matter at all. I just nodded my head before looking out of the window. "Yeah, we are all ready and set to head home" Alexander said to Dermont. Dermont just nodded his head and started the car. We drove for about four minutes before we stopped in front of a huge packhouse. This one might even have been bigger than the one at my previous pack. I just stared at the huge building. Only then did I realize the size of the pack. How would such a huge pack deal with their Luna being as pathetic as I am. My thoughts were interrupted by Alexander opening my door and holding out his hand to try and help me out in a more comfortable way. I twisted and turned my body before taking his hand and just sliding out of the car. My legs wobbled a bit as soon as it hit the ground. Thankfully, Alexander was there just in time to catch me, making sure I didn't fall to the ground. I smiled up at him in a way to say thank you. Alexander once again wrapped his arm around my waist and helped me walk. The stairs felt like it was taking forever as we slowly climbed each one step by step. We finally stopped right in front of the door and I felt nervous. Inside here were probably some of his pack members waiting to welcome us. "Don't worry ... everyone here is super friendly. You will be okay, I promise" Alexander whispered in my ear. I just nodded as he opened the door and we walked in. As soon as we were inside, all the packmembers who were here, bowed their heads in submission before greeting us. I just looked at all of them and smiled, trying to look as polite as possible. If this was truly my fresh start, I knew I had to make a good first impression. "Alexander, my love! Finally, you are home!" I heard a high-pitched voice say. I turned to have a look and was confused as I saw a redhead and green-eyed woman running up to Alexander and almost knocking me down as she jumped in his arms to greet him with a kiss. I was thankful that Dermont was there to catch me just in time before I fell. I looked at him confused before he just sighed. I looked back over at Alexander who just stood here, frozen like a statue. I just nodded my head, finally realizing what was going on. I tried to turn around as quickly as I could and walk away. I knew this was too good to be true, it looks like I am only here to be his mistress or something like that. Leaving one hell hole just to enter the next. However, due to my whole body sucking, I only managed to make it to the stairs before Alexander stood in front of me with a sad look on his face. "Listen, Lana ... it's not what it looks like. I promise I can explain" Alexander said.
