Elena's POV
I woke up to the sound of thunder and lightning illuminating the darkness of this room. I got out of bed and strolled towards one of the windows that happened to be wide open.
I peeked through the window and realized it was raining heavily outside. Then I glanced at the clock sitting on the nightstand. It was already eight o'clock in the evening. I quickly left the room to check if Grey had gone home.
It was hushed outside. There was no sign of Grey's presence or return. He left early in the morning and didn't return until now.
I let out a long sigh and then sat contemplatively in the kitchen. I was staring at the rain that was still pouring from the sky. Suddenly, the sound of the doorbell startled me. I was surprised and immediately ran to the front to see who was coming
