The Unwanted Bride Of Alpha Alaric

Rieka. "What y'all are saying isn't making much sense to me. I don't understand why I have to get betrothed without my consent, without my presence, without my say. I'm the one going into the marriage not y'all. What makes you think you have the right to decide that?" I yelled at the top of my voice, banging the table as u stared at my parents with tears threatening to fall out of my eyes. I had just had a cool evening hanging out now what? I just returned and heard that my marriage would be in four days time and I can't dispute it because my parents had betrothed me to Alaric Aldawolf. The devil I had heard so many eerie stories about. "Do not speak to your father in that manner!! Where has your manners escaped to?" My mom asked, glaring at me and though I knew I wasn't supposed to talk back, this was a matter of been alive. It was a matter that would engulf my life forever. "So that's how it is. You're just going to marry me off huh?" I yelled again, staring at my father with plead in my eyes, I hoped he would have a change of heart. But the instant he looked away when our eyes glued, I knew that my fate was sealed. Its either I'm getting married to Alaric or my life with that of my entire family would be flushed down the drains. "My lady, the Aldawolf's are in the pack right now." My mom's personal maid, Irene broke the news, perspiring as it seemed she had run a long distance just to give out this information. "What? Why?" She asked staring at my father for some kind of explanation as she suddenly broke out in an unexplainable sweat. Maybe they were here to discuss the dowry or something but why the haste? Anyways, this would give me the opportunity to at least see what my husband to be would look like. Who knows if he would have horns with smoky red eyes like am actual devil incarnate? Only the thought of it made chills run down my spine and a kind of cold shiver enveloped me. Soon, a trumpet was heard from now too far from our house which indicated that they were almost here and I began feeling jittery. "You can't look like that Rieka. You are about to meet the Alpha of all Alpha's and your husband to be. At least, you should look enticing." Mother said as she began pushing me in the direction of her room. "Why are you all tensed this much? Though Alpha Aldawolf is the Alpha of all Alphas, he's also an Alpha just like dad so why can't y'all just cool off?" I asked but mother didn't even bother to reply me. She kept pushing me till we got to her room and she bolted the door behind us. "Wait here." She said and exited the room and I ran to the window because from the noise coming from downstairs, it seemed they were already here. I couldn't make out who was Aldawolf or who was Alaric but I knew they were there amidst the crowd. My heart beat increased in a pace of two. I could literally hear it! The next instant I heard the door burst open and mom came in with other series of maid holding different kind of substance and content and not to forget clothing in their hands. "Wash her up and make her look befitting for a bride." Mother ordered and was about walking back out when I ran to her and held her by the hem of her dress. "Mom please, at least you can talk to dad to reconsider. I don't want to get married now." I cried tugging the hem of her dress as she tried to move out. "Rieka, if I had a say in this it wouldn't be happening anyway. You have to learn to accept some things." Mother advised and was about leaving when I wrapped my arms around her leg. "I'll have to accept them without explanations. At least, tell me why you're doing this. I'm not past the age of marriage, heck....I just turned twenty. I'm not a liability to the pack so why?" I cried and mom heaved a sigh before kicking my hands off and walked out. As she got to the door, she said; "She has to be down in 15 minutes, don't keep our visitors waiting." And with that, she exited the room. "My lady, you need to stand to enable us—" The head maid was saying and i was damn tired to even hear any Kore reprimand so I just stood up before she would continue her statement. "Just get to it." I said after abrasing her speech. It sucked that the maids even had to bathe me with their own hands, applying all kinds of fragrance and ointment that I was sure I wouldn't feel my skin by the time they were done. After cleaning me up, they began dressing me up. Inserting the last pin in the corset, I yelped because it pricked my skin. I tried to stand to examine myself in the mirror but the clothe strapped me like I was tied and I had to use up all energy to keep myself stable. Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I immediately confirmed that this person couldn't be me. How could they make my entire look change? I even look older than my age. "Miss, you're needed downstairs right now." The head maid announced and I nodded heading out with her. I just have to accept this the way it is and walk out with heads high up even if my heart felt like a downstream. As we approached the door to the living room where the guests and my parents converged and were conversing, I heard them arguing so I decided to stand a little bit to eavesdrop. Of course it wasn't the best thing to do, I did it anyway after sign all in the head maid. "We need her today and when I mean today, I mean as we're leaving....we're leaving with her." Alpha Aldawolf groveled in a hoarse yet husky voice. There's no f*****g way they are talking about me. "But my lord, isn't it a bit too soon? We've not even prepared the bride yet." My dad persuaded and I didn't need a soothsayer to confirm it that they were talking about me. Dang it!! Why would they want me to leave with them so soon? I won't even get the Chance to say goodbye to my friends. There's no f*****g way I'd allow that to happen!! "Miss Rieka, I think you've heard enough so you can come out now!" Alpha Aldawolf said and my heart fell into my stomach. Did he know I was there all along?
