Epi. 1 - You're out gallivanting, aren't you?
Jenny dragged a hefty suitcase to a doorway with a high-tech palm print lock. Without much thought, she reached out, expecting to hear a 'beep' and the door to open.
To her surprise, the door didn't budge, leaving her bewildered.
"What's going on?" She kicked the door, but it hardly budged.
Puzzled, she pressed the doorbell. Impatience growing, she started shouting, "Alex, open the door, quick!"
Even if there were someone inside, it was a luxury apartment with excellent soundproofing; they wouldn't hear her.
Jenny's face fell, muttering, "Could that jerk not be at home?"
Glancing at the time, it was already eleven in the evening!
Not being home at this hour definitely meant he was out gallivanting.
Hmph, that darn Alex!
Jenny pouted, finally relenting and calling Alex's mother.
Perhaps Alex's mother was already asleep, as it took a while for the call to connect.
As soon as it did, she said, "Aunt Sarah, didn't you set my access? I can't open the door, and that rascal Alex isn't home!"
Aunt Sarah apologized, "I'm sorry, darling, I forgot to tell you. The apartment Alex lives in doesn't even have my palm print set. He insisted on keeping everyone out, so you'll have to figure it out yourself. Give him a call and tell him to come back and open the door for you."
Jenny heard Aunt Sarah's breathlessness but didn't think much of it, awkwardly ending the call. "Alright then, goodnight, Aunt Sarah."
She dialed Alex's number, wondering if they hadn't seen each other for quite some time, would he still remember her voice.
It rang for a while before connecting.
Jenny immediately shouted at him, "Alex! Where are you gallivanting? I've returned to the country and I'm outside your apartment, hurry up and come back to open the door for me!"
However, the voice on the other end wasn't Alex's but that of a stranger. "Looking for Mr. Alex? He's busy at the moment. Call back later."
With that, they hung up.
Jenny stared at her phone, hardly believing her call had been dismissed.
Her anger surged.
Obviously, the person who answered was Alex's lackey. How dare even a lackey bully her?
Meanwhile, in a bar VIP room.
Alex was drinking with someone, a beautiful girl leaning on him intimately, holding his hand. "Alex, are you drunk yet?"
This time, Alex won, and the other person obediently downed their large drink before rushing to the bathroom to vomit.
Alex sneered but was also a bit tipsy, leaning back on the couch.
Lily gazed at his handsome and wicked face, unable to resist moving closer, her hands against his chest, feeling his strong muscles, becoming even more infatuated with his charm.
A man as perfect as Alex was hard to come by; she had to hold onto his heart tightly. That way, she could rise from the ashes like a phoenix.
Staring at his sexy lips, her heart fluttered, wanting to kiss him.
It was said that Alex had countless women, yet no one had ever received his kiss. It was rumored that whoever could make him kiss her would be his true soulmate.
