Chapter 54
The Wanderer reached the station and moved towards the main entrance to the hidden hangar. Strangely, the fleet there, flagged as Bravo fleet by the Wanderer, made no move in response. The ships remained lined up in defensive position but they just waited as the Wanderer closed in.
Their formation was strange too, tightly ordered but with a number of large gaps which the Wanderer could easily pass through. Was that deliberate? Were they fire corridors? Not that Jess could tell. Leaving the gaps wouldn’t allow the surrounding ships much more of a chance to target the Wanderer, and they increased the risk of any stray shots hitting a friendly ship.
