Sal smiled as she studied the unfolding battle. She had far more information than Jess. She knew exactly which ships in the Imperial fleet were under control of the Gifted. Most had played their hand now, openly attacking Vorn’s core fleet, but a dozen were still hiding their allegiance. They were embedded into groupings of ships which had been added to Vorn’s forces recently but weren’t under Tainted control, waiting to strike at the most opportune moment.
She sat on the bridge of the Tiberius, a cruiser. While not as powerful as the battleships and battlecruisers it was still a formidable vessel, and fast with it. Speed would always be important when dealing with the Wanderer.
