Chapter 40
Jess and Teeko lay in the darkness of the shuttle’s rear section. They didn’t dare activate any lights or fire up any systems for fear of being discovered. The shuttle would offer no protection from guards carrying heavy weaponry, and being forced to launch too soon would be disastrous.
Some things were working in their favour. Jess had unleashed the robots, though he’d ensured they would avoid attacking civilians who didn’t attack them. That certainly wasn’t a problem for the moment. The two robots were cutting a swathe of damage through the station’s most secure area.
