Chapter 27
As they approached the station Jess was overwhelmed by memories. Things had been so different the last time he’d visited. Sal and Ali had been safe aboard the Wanderer. Elizabeth had still been aboard too. Jess missed her experience, her advice and especially her friendship.
The memories were interrupted when the station called asking his business. Jess told them he was in the market for survival equipment, including medkits, food and, of course, guns. A few moments went by before the station replied, giving clearance to dock and confirming his appointment with Mr Stone. Jess smiled coldly at that. He would be meeting with the same man as before.
