A Very Special Alpha She-Wolf

Chapter 3

It’s been two days since my training started with Sandy, she wakes me up early before the sun even rises. We go running before we’ve had breakfast. Plus all my meals are planned out. I really complained about it for the first day, but then I realized it’s no different than going to the gym everyday like I usually do. Though my life seems to be changing in a way I’m not sure about yet. Shifting has become so easy that you’d think I’d never missed anything. Sandy’s been a great teacher though. I don’t think I would be this far without her. When I tried to leave for the mall one afternoon, Sandy said I really shouldn’t go shopping anymore by myself, unless she accompanied me that is. How would I explain Sandy to my friends!? She’s my cousin from out of town!? Its not like I’m super close with anyone of my friends.

So I thought about it an I doubted that’ll work. I was supposed to be spending this summer looking at colleges, trying to decide what I was going to do with my life. I guess I can say I’m thankful that all of this happened after I just finished high school. Could you imagine trying to deal with all this an still have to study! Maybe college wasn’t such a good idea after all, just maybe?

It really got me thinking, William’s had his whole life to prepare for this. An what do I get a measly five days! To learn an entire life time of skills, how to speak in my wolf form, how to walk in my wolf form etc. What could my mother have been thinking to want me to move away from this? To not be around anyone else like me? Well I guess I can’t sit here worrying about what ifs. Right?

I haven’t seen William that much these past few days, he’s always busy in my father’s office, or he’s leaving with these two men. Sandy says their his bodyguards, besides his best friends, his Beta an his Gamma. The first man isn’t as tall as William, he’s shorter an stocky with blondish brown hair, very well built an looks like he can take a punch. He has a scare on the left side of his cheek. His name is Cody. He’s younger than William from what I can tell. He’s Williams Gamma. The other man is tall like William, very scruffy looking, strong, dressed very well. He has thick dark brown hair. He always seems to be brooding about something. His name is Jeff. He’s the same age as William. He’s Williams Beta. An also Sandys mate. Anytime I happen to walk past them they never look at me or speak to me, they just bow an say “Luna".

When I tried to speak to William, he always says “Will talk later my Lily.” Or “I’m sorry sweetheart, I really have to finish this.” Then he kisses my cheek an walks me to the door where Sandy’s always already waiting for me. William hasn’t slept in the same bed with me either since that first night he arrived here. I haven’t even received a phone call from my father checking in like normal. I’m sure everything is just fine. Right? Sandy gave me this afternoon to myself, she said she had somethings to attend to and that I should go do some laps in the pool and enjoy the sunshine. Maybe it’ll help relieve some stress.

I took her advice, I put on my favorite bikini, walked down to the pool and walked over to my favorite chair, I laid out my towel sat down an started putting on suntan lotion. I closed my eyes an listened to the wind blowing through my hair, the sounds of birds chirping, the hum of the pool. This wolf hearing was amazing. After I had completed putting on my suntan lotion, I walked over to the side of the pool. I stopped at the pools edge, looked around once more, I felt completely alone. No Dad, no Sandy, no William. Nothing.

Just then I happened to hear a car pulling into the driveway from the gate opening. Well I guess William’s home, maybe he’d notice me if he saw me in the pool I thought then laughed. I dove into the pool and started my laps. I was about to hit my 5th lap when I noticed a dark shadow standing over my head. So I popped up on the pool wall instead of swimming right into my next lap. There he was standing above me tall, dark, and handsome, in a tailored suit just like before, he didn’t have a very happy look on his face.

William reached out his hand to me holding my towel in the other, I took his hand immediately without hesitation. Sparks running through my hand from his touch. He pulled me right out of the pool with one arm, when I was standing next to him I tried to ring out my hair dropping water all around myself. Williams nose twitched, as he wrapped my towel around me quickly. I softly said “Is something wrong?” he huffed at me. “What are you trying to do here, what’s your goal.” He seemed angry an frustrated. I replied quietly “I was just doing some laps like Sandy had suggested, it feels good to swim an be out in the sun.” his voice deepened into a more authoritative way his alpha “Well could you wear a different suit at least. You need to start acting more like a lady, your not a little girl anymore, you have a women’s body! Also its distracting to everyone around you.” He cleared his throat. I looked around no one in sight. I then laughed, dropped my towel to the floor an untied my swimsuit top dropping it into the pool.

Williams eyes flashed with anger, he picked up my towel immediately trying to cover my chest, I pushed him back saying “No one else is here! Why does it matter!” he replied, in his full alpha voice yelling at me. “You will know your place, and respect my wishes to how you will represent yourself. We aren’t alone I have wolf’s doing border patrols around the premises of the house! So when you think that you are completely alone, you aren’t ever! You will be protected at all costs. We also don’t need the pack to see my mates figure in such away, Especially her t**s!” he wasn’t just growling at me anymore his eyes were glowing. I could start to feel myself filling with anger, so I yelled back at him “Hey! I get it! I’m younger than you, an that your always busy. Plus its obvious that I’m just in your way all the time.

But maybe, just maybe if you could give me five minutes of your day. I wouldn’t have to resort to this for attention!” I went to turn an walk away from him, but he grabbed my arm. An said “How dare you disrespect me, I am you’re Alpha!” I cut him off mid sentence. His face only growing with anger. “I am my OWN Alpha! You do not command me!” ripping my arm from his hand, walking into the grass I started to untie my bottoms dropping them to the ground as I shifted, William started yelling after me, “We aren’t finished here yet!” he growled loudly following me, anger covered his face completely when I shifted running into the bushes behind the fence line.

I was running away fast from him, faster than I think I’ve ever run before, I was so frustrated. It was constant training all the time. Learning the rules etc. No moment of peace ever! No time to clear my mind to even let this new life sink in. First all I could hear was my own breathing, my paws on the ground beneath me. Buh bum, buh bum, I turned sharply at the corner losing my footing slamming into a tree, I hit it with a huge thud. I yipped out in pain for a second. Then I stood back up again on my feet, I heard someone following me, a wolf, it was coming in fast. I backed around the corner, laying low to the ground as I could. I dug myself in ready to fight if necessary.

My fangs were out, I started growling, standing low to the ground ready to pounce the moment it was going to come around the corner, following everything Sandy had taught me. Bam! There the other wolf was I jumped without looking at who it was grabbing its front leg in my teeth biting down hard, pulling it to the ground forcing it’s own body weight against itself, flipping them over so I had the higher ground. I heard a high picked yelping sound, then howling from the distance back by the house. I kept my guard up, when I finally looked down at my opponent. It was Shadow, it was William. I released my grip on him, his teeth where out now. His jaws snapping at me, I tried to pull back but he grabbed my scruff behind my head pulling me to the ground.

I yelped in turn, hitting the ground hard. In the not so far distance. I heard two more wolf’s closing in fast, as I flipped back over onto my feet, they came charging around the corner slamming into the same tree I had. Shadow turned to them, fangs out. I heard William’s voice “ Stay out of this! She needs to learn her place! If she wishes to challenge me so be it!” the other wolf’s held their places growling with hesitation. Shadow looked back at me, fangs out, growling deeply, blood rushing down his leg where I’d bite him earlier. He whined at the pain limping some, snapping his jaws at me, then forced his weight down on his front leg ready for me to attack again. I said once again screaming at him with everything I had.

Standing tall, holding my ground, fangs an claws out. “You do not command me! I’ll never submit to you! Ever!” I lunged forward attacking, biting the side of his neck, he yelped. Biting me in return deep into my shoulder, flipping me over his back, throwing me to the ground hard again. It completely knocked the wind out of me. I laid there trying to get my breath back. He turned quickly facing me ready for another attack, and said “I don’t want to do this but I will if I have to. Don’t force me to put down the woman I love, I don’t want to force you into being with me!” I laid there longer not moving just breathing, William grunted, “f**k!” I then heard the other two wolf’s speak, “Bro you f****d her s**t up bad!” said Cody, “Shut up Cody, this is between them! William’s not in danger, an he deserved this for blowing her off the past few days!” Jeff snipped back. William growled at them, “Shut the hell up both of you! Find the patrol! Don’t let them see this.”

Both Cody an Jeff ran off, leaving myself an Shadow completely alone. Shadow turned back to seeing me laying there completely naked with blood on my shoulder in my human form, he mumbled “f**k" under his breath. Slowly walking to my side turning back into a human. “Are you okay?” he reached down to touch me. I looked up at him my eyes glowing again. Replying “Don’t ever touch me again! I’ll never marry you!” I sat up slowly, touching my shoulder assessing the damage from his bite. I stood up, standing next to him brushing off the dirt from my hip. William ignored what I said, only saying. “Well if it makes you feel better, no one’s ever gotten the jump on me like that before. Plus you broke my forearm I think. You’ve got a strong bite”

I snuffed at him. “Get away from me, or I’ll break the other one!” he leaned over my shoulder, grabbing my waist with his left hand pulling me close to him blood slowly streaming off his right hand. “I should take you right now out here, no one would hear you scream! Why we’re truly completely alone! I shouldn’t have expected you to just blindly follow me without a reason, that was my mistake. You are the first female born to your line of alphas in 150 years. All that pent up energy, an strength. I should respect that, along with the type of pups we could bring into this world. The pack would never be challenged again. I’ll never ask for your obedience from you again. Just your love, loyalty an trust.” I pulled his hand off my waist, dropping it, as I started walking back towards the house holding my shoulder.

He signed an slowly followed me back to the house. We walked in silence. We were almost to the house when we both smelled it. I stopped, breathing in the air deeply, it sent shivers down my spine. William grabbed my wrist an pulled me close to his chest embracing me protectively slightly leaning over me, his nose twitching in the air, growling deeply. Out from behind the tree lines you could see a large silver-ish grey wolf. He huffed a few times turned an ran off. William’s whole body was tense, ready to change back into a wolf if necessary. I didn’t understand, why he reacted in such a manor. Before I could speak he said. “He’s back again! He won’t take you, I won’t allow it. Not again.” Just than the two wolf’s from earlier reappeared and were chasing the silver-ish grey wolf into the far off trees, followed by five other wolf’s.

I looked at William and said “Who was that! His scent is very…” I paused an breathed in deeply again he cut me off by replying, “Don’t say it! He’s not familiar with you like that, he tried to kill you when he couldn’t have you! An he succeeded with killing your mother that day.” I still didn’t understand, I wanted to ask, I had so many questions. But I could see he was in pain, still trying to fight it off. We finally returned to the house, it was empty, still, we both walked to my bathroom upstairs. As William was trying to grab towels he dropped them. “f**k my arm!” he said frustrated. I picked up the towels putting them on the counter. I said “Why don’t you clean up first, I’ll wait my turn” he replied “No, its been a long day. We can take a bath together if that’s alright with you? I don’t want you alone. It’s just us here the packs not back yet.” I signed, he got into the bath as it was filling, I turned to grab a cloth when he pulled me into the bath with him. I just sat there in his lap, my hair soppy an wet on the ends. He spoke softly to me “I’m sorry, really. Did you mean what you said? Do you really not want me anymore!? Are you rejecting me, please don’t reject me.”

I didn’t speak I only started cleaning out his arm where I had bitten him earlier. His body tensed all up. I replied “Don’t be such a baby. It needs to be cleaned out.” He replied “Then be nice to me! I really do love you, you know. Your father will return in three days, we can’t keep going back an forth fighting like this. You will have to decide soon, whether or not you want me! IT will have to happen soon, that’s the only reason he’s still showing up. He won’t ask you to be his like I am. He will just take you. That’s why I have to keep you safe.” I replied “What do you mean? IT will have to happen soon? An why does he even want me?” he replied “You still don’t understand who you are do you! Lily, you are the first female alpha born ever in your line. Women have never really been alpha’s its extremely rare. Males are alpha’s normally, an alpha picks a mate from within his pack, or has an arrangement with another alpha’s pack to mark a female there of his choosing as long as the bond is there. It’s a great honor to marry an alpha, to bare his pups for a Luna. You’re father knew you were special the moment you were born. My father an yours were best friends. You being born gave them a chance to finally unite our packs. I meet you the first time when you were three days old. They wanted to see if we were bonded by the moon. You were so small, but you accepted me right away. An you know what IT means, if I don’t claim you soon, he will come for you.”

He paused, then softly brushed a spot on my neck which sent electrical sparks throughout my whole body. It felt amazing on so many levels its hard to describe. He then slowly took the cloth from my hands an spoke again as he pulled me closer resting his hands on my thigh. “If we don’t mate soon, he will come for you again, an he’ll keep coming till he mates with you. Who ever takes this.” He paused again rubbing his finger down my inner thigh almost touching me there, I held my breath.

He whispered again “Who ever becomes your mated partner will be able to control one of the greatest packs there is. Besides having the chance of having not only Male offspring but Female. You could create one of the most dangerous packs there is with the power to wipe out all others that oppose you. That’s how special you are.” The room fell silent. Did I finally understand what was going on? Why that accident actually happened! Why my mother wanted me to live a life separated from everyone? For me not to know who I really was, always living in fear that someone would come for me? Always having to be protected an watched?! What kind of life is this going to be for me?

William softly pushed me off his lap, so that I was sitting across from him. He spoke again, “I apologize for blowing you off these past few days, I’m also sorry I haven’t shared your bed lately. But I can’t resist your scent, your body, the way you move. I don’t trust myself to not just take you! It’s hard enough to sit across from you right now, I refuse to force you into being with me. You must choose me as well. I won’t forcefully mark you, claiming you without you telling me to.”

I could see he was really trying to be sincere. Even though he kept staring at me, like he wanted to eat me for lunch. I started to clean myself off some, then finally broke his silence. “Will it hurt?” he replied “Will what hurt my love?” silence… He spoke again “Oh! It might hurt some at first. I won’t lie. But it will get better I can promise you that, you will enjoy it.” I spoke then “An if he does it?” William’s nose twitched, anger flashed through his eyes as they started to glow, his hands turning into fists. “Yes, it will hurt with him. He will force you down by biting the back of your neck holding you there, marking you as his, if you move, struggle or fight him, he won’t hesitate from killing you. I could never do that to you. I’d rather hide you away from both of us then hurt you.”

I replied “You just want me for these same reasons he does!” He responded “No, I’ve loved you from the first moment I met you all those years ago. I’ll be what ever you want me to be! I can’t see living without you by my side. If you don’t accept me, as your mate, I’ll leave the pack. Someone else can take my place, I don’t want it. I’ll go rogue if your rejection doesn’t kill me! My mother, an your father will be very disappointed. But I just don’t care. Without you life isn’t worth living.”

William leaned forward grabbing both my wrists in his hands, then putting my hands on his chest, an said “Do you feel my heart beating? It only beats to be with you, to protect you at all costs no matter what, even if that means giving up my life to save yours, that’s how much I love you. I’ll do anything you ask of me. If you want me to bow before you I will.” The look of pure sincerity in his eyes. I took a deep breath, he released my wrists signing, that’s when for the first time ever I felt his pain in my heart as if it were my own. The bond? I wanted to cry, but fought back tears. He kissed my cheek softly an said “Can we go to bed now?” I nodded yes, we both got out of the bath, he helped me wrap a towel around myself the best he could. I bandaged his arm, an he fixed up my shoulder. Then he took my hand leading me to my room.

We walked from the bathroom into my bedroom. You could hear the pack returning to the house outside. Once we reached my bedside he kissed my hand and said “This is where I say goodnight sweetheart.” I replied “You’re not joining me again are you!” My eyes slightly glowing for a second. He responded “I have to make sure the pack is alright, an that he’s gone for now. You also need your rest to heal from today’s little showdown. You will be safe in your room. I’ll check in on you later.” He patted me on the butt pushing me onto my bed, then walking away after grabbing some shorts an closing the bedroom door behind him. I could hear him walking away down the hall, then down the steps. I took a deep breath an sighed. Walking over to my bedroom window seeing the pack by the pool. I signed dropping my towel onto the chair, walking over to my bed, laying there saying f**k this if I’m sleeping by myself! Then I’m sleeping naked tonight! Outside my window I heard Shadows alpha howl loudly into the night. Which made my wolf purr with pleasure.

I was finally sleeping really good, the best that I could have with so much craziness going on. I felt the bed move a little, it wasn’t me!? My nose started to twitch the scent of fresh blood. I recognized this scent it was William’s blood. I opened my eyes, to see William was almost completely covered in gauze wrappings not only on his arm where I had bitten him but more. It covered parts of his chest an ribs, his whole right shoulder, he also had a black eye with scraps an cuts all over his face, an a dried bloody lip. He finally noticed I was sitting up now with fear an sadness on my face. He spoke softly trying to cover the pain in his voice. “I’m sorry if I woke you, I just wanted to be close to you tonight.” I didn’t understand what happened. He was just fine when I went to sleep.

I responded with worry in my voice “What happened! You where fine earlier I could smell my bite already healing!?” He hesitated before he spoke. “I told you I had to check on the pack, I went with Cody and Jeff to follow the trail he left to make sure he was completely gone, he wasn’t, he was waiting for us. Cody’s pretty beaten up he took the brunt of the attack. Jeff is okay. But I had to do something or he would’ve killed Cody. Don’t worry me an the boys have seen much worse. He shouldn’t be back for the next few days. He’ll have to heal an recover first. Even so please don’t leave the house okay, if you get into trouble I won’t be able to protect you right now I must heal.” I started freaking out as he spoke, tears started running down my cheeks, he smiled “Tears for me! Aww, you do care, See you do love me.” As he nudged my shoulder, with a weak smile.

I grabbed onto his arm pulling him close to me crying even more, he sighed wrapping his left arm around me so I could lay on his chest, he grunted from the pain of my head on his chest, when I tried to pull away not wanting to cause more pain for him, he pulled me back saying “I want you here I don’t care if it causes me pain. I just want you close to me.” I complied still crying, just knowing he was badly hurt just because of me.

He kissed my head softly, then reached over to the nightstand grabbing a small box placing it in my hand on his chest. It was the same small light blue box with the silver satin bow. He spoke softly. “I know it’s not the best of times, but I want you to wear this please. I don’t want to not make it back to you an not have been able to see this ring on your finger.” He opened the box an put a beautiful 24 cart white gold, diamond ring on my finger, then kissed my hand, intertwining our fingers together. He said “Lets rest now sweetheart, as long as your next to me I am capable of doing anything to get back here.” Within a matter of minutes he was sleeping. I cried quietly for a few more moments an thought about what happened, if I would just stop fighting these feelings for him none of this would’ve happened. If we just completed the marking an bonding ceremony already maybe this other wolf would just go away!?
