I woke up the next morning completely different. The sun was brightly shining into my room more than normal. Plus there was a weird sweet scent coming from the doorway. I opened my eyes and freaked out, their was a young beautiful woman standing there. She smiled at me and said “Its so wonderful to see you again my Luna. Look what a gorgeous young woman you have become. Do you remember me? My names Sandy, I was your nanny. But now that your older, I’m your first lady in waiting you could say, but I’m your Beta. I’m here to help you with whatever you need.” She then bowed her head slightly, before I knew it. William snuffed and spoke loudly, “Get out Sandy! We’re not awake yet, nor is she ready for you yet!” he growled at her, she smiled an giggled, bowed again an said “Yes Alpha, I’ll be waiting downstairs for you an the Luna for breakfast.” As she walked out and closed the door behind her.

He pulled me back down on his chest, wrapping his arms around me. Leaning closer to my head taking a deep breath in. “You smell amazing in the morning!” I was silent for a moment then began speaking “What do you mean by, you have to protect me and that its not time yet!?” he replied “Lily, do we have to discuss this now!?” I firmly said “Yes!” He then pushed me off him as he sat up, took a deep breath an said “Fine!” He turned towards me and said “If I remember correctly you learn best from being shown something. Just remember to breathe this time around!” I didn’t understand what he was saying at all. He then leaned closer to me an started kissing me. This time was completely different from before. But this time the wolf didn’t look so tamed he jumped up onto the bed slowly creeping towards me, I panicked and screamed loudly! An grabbed the pillow next to me for some form of protection separating myself from the wolf! The wolf barked loudly his teeth bearing white with frustration as he snarled at me.

All of a sudden the wolf was so close to me that he ripped the pillow from my hands and crawled over me forcing me to lay back on the bed, turning my face to the side as he bared his white fangs at me. I remembered what he said earlier to breathe, I could feel my heart racing. So I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe again and again relaxing my whole body under the wolf. He snorted and snarled again. I calmed my breathing to a slow pace. I turned my head back to face the wolf as I felt this inner strength coming out, my eyes met with his they felt like they were on fire and I spoke out “That’s enough Shadow! Control yourself!” the wolf stopped growling an showing his teeth immediately, he stepped back in shock staring at me sitting on the side of the bed, an then sitting there watching me.

I sat up, but I felt differently my body was different. I tried to speak but I barked instead. I looked at myself I was covered in fur. I was almost the same size as Shadow. But my fur was a honey golden color. When I tried to move I couldn’t, I didn’t feel right allover again. I was terrified to the point I started crying! At that very second Shadow’s ears perked up, he jumped up fast and walked over to me laying down next to me. Licking my face, then I heard it for the first time, Shadow spoke to me. In that soft voice I heard him speaking to me before as William “Its okay honey, I’m right here I know it’s been awhile since you’ve shifted your okay I’m not leaving you. Please don’t be afraid anymore, this had to happen so I wouldn’t hurt you I had to call the wolf out again. She’s my co-alpha, my mate for life.” I tried to speak again but I only barked.

He whispered to me “Relax, when you scream you can’t talk to me normally, your invoking your inner alpha. An your scaring Sandy downstairs, close your eyes an listen you can hear she’s shifted and she’s pacing back an forth crying. Because your afraid.” I did as he asked me to, I closed my eyes and listened it was like I was some how standing downstairs I could hear a wolf pacing back and forth by the steps not sure if she should come up or not. I relaxed even more. Then I felt his touch again only this time it was even warmer. I was me again human, and so was he. He pulled me close into his chest. An I could hear Sandy shifting back as well. She spoke then softly “Are you okay, Luna Lily!?” with worry in her voice. I answered “Yes”, an she nodded an walked away. We both laid there on the bed naked together on top of tattered clothes an bedsheets. My hands felt different, when I moved or stretched out my muscles moved differently.

He snuggled his head into my hair. An whispered “I missed you so much, to have you back again complete in my arms, both of my arms. Its been so long, I love you Lily. I’ll never let you go again. Its finally time.” I fell asleep to the sound of his voice, as he rubbed his hand on my leg. I woke up a few hours later still in his tight embrace. I turned around to face him tossing my leg over his hip. Wrapping my arms around his neck, kissing his cheek softly.

He snuffed, an yawned. “Yes, Darling” I smiled at him as he opened one eye. “Why can’t I speak like you?” he replied “Just give it sometime, once you can fully relax into your wolf form you’ll be able to talk to me or anyone else in the pack.
