Ronald stood next to the bed, white uniform in his hand. He wanted to leave before she woke up. His wolf was agitated from last night. Not even her soft scent clinging to him from sharing a bed with her last night could distract his thoughts. She didn't know those men. Why did she care how they were treated? He replayed it in his head. He may not have watched her go to each of them, but he could hear it all play out. She gently washed Aaron's back, soothed Win to sleep, and tended to Thorin's wound. Gentle, like a mate, with each of them when they couldn't care if she lived or died. In their eyes, she was just a tool used by the prison to control them.
