I was never one for a night out at a bar, I’d much rather spend my evenings cuddled up on the sofa with my dog, eating a Chinese and binge watching tv programme’s. But, tonight was different. My best-friend seth insisted on taking me out for the night to celebrate my 21st birthday, I didn’t want to go but seth isn’t the sort of person who takes no for an answer. As I sat in front of my mirror and looked at my reflection, I contemplated as to what I should wear. After a deep sigh I slipped on my favourite black dress and paired it with my Dr Martens boots, the ones with the red roses printed on the side of them. The door bell rang and I knew it was Seth, she was never late and it was bang on 7 o’clock. I ran to the door and of course it was her, stood there in her black ripped jeans and chequered shirt. She wasn’t much of a dress girl, we were opposite’s like that. “Are you ready?” she asked, I nodded as I grabbed my bag and headed for the door, not looking too excited to spend the night around so many people at the bar. We arrived shortly after 7:20pm and walked through the double doors of the bar, there was a Dj playing and it was already packed with plenty of people. We walked up to the bar to order a drink “two double spiced rums please” Seth ordered. “Really Seth, are you trying to get me drunk” I said. “You need to loosen up a little and have fun! You’re always so serious” she was right I suppose but I didn’t want to admit it. We grabbed our drinks and walked over to an empty table to sit down. Seth got up straight away and I knew she wanted to dance so I quickly escaped to buy me some time in the toilet. I turned around and rushed down the hall without really looking and that’s when I bumped into him. “Omg I’m so sorry! I didn’t see you” I screeched and that’s when I looked up, he was tall with short black hair, piercing blue eyes and tattooed from his neck down. “I can see that little miss, are you okay” I think he was as taken back as I was. “Yes I’m fine” I replied as I tried to walk off in a hurry, without looking him in the eyes but he grabbed my hand and pulled me in close to him “where are you off to in such a hurry” I felt my heart beat faster inside my chest and my cheeks become rosey, this had never happened before. “Nowhere, I’m just trying to get away with not dancing” I explained, still not looking him in the eyes, I felt as though if I did he would see right through me. He lifted up my chin so that I was forced to look at him, he was so beautiful, sexy and extremely intimidating, all at the same time. He moved in closer to me and whispered in my ear “well you better come with me then” he demanded, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up and my breathing become shallow. I don’t know what made me follow him but it was like my body had a mind of its own..
