“You can’t just…” the soldier said as he blocked her way, but after Annabel glared at him, he hesitantly moved aside. She pushed the door open without knocking, striding to where General Freeman sat behind a pair of monitors. He didn’t even raise his head as her heavy steps echoed through the empty room, nor did he react as she slammed her hands on the opposite side of his desk.
