“Your mom was on the phone, said to tell you she’s on her way over,” Walker said as he strode into the bedroom barefoot, wearing just a pair of jeans. His hair was already dry, as he’d showered earlier.
Kate, on the other hand, had a towel wrapped around her wet hair. Of course, today of all days, she’d slept in—and Walker had let her. After bringing her home from her mom’s, he’d held her until she’d dropped off to sleep, and today, although she’d expected him to wake her in the same sexy, hot, and very satisfying way he did each morning, he hadn’t. He was treating her as if she were glass. In one minute, it made her feel special, and in the next she ached from wanting him. This new considerate Walker was someone Kate wasn’t sure she wanted to stick around.
