Chapter 6 He locked the door as he took in the stairs. The house was quiet, but the tension from Kate’s parents still lingered. Now at least Walker had a better idea of why she’d balked at marrying him. He’d thought she was kidding about how screwed up her parents were, but relationships were a challenge in most families.
