She had put herself out there. She had been ready to tread the fine line of getting caught doing something she shouldn’t all because Walker had asked her for help, but then he had turned her down flat. What was the matter with that man? What was his game? First he wanted her help, then he didn’t. He was worse than the fickle women guys complained about, never sure whether they were coming or going, always changing their minds by the time men got them on board. Well, that was Walker.
