Chapter 6 This wasn’t good. Tears glistened in Kate’s dark brown eyes, turning them a softer shade as he held himself inside her. He wanted to ride her hard, to take her and drown in the softness of what she offered, but the emotion staring up at him as he held himself so still reached inside and touched a part of him he hadn’t felt before. He moved gently so as not to hurt her. The soft noise she made had him pulling out and seeing and feeling her. “Am I hurting you?” he said. He had to touch her, brushing her cheek with his hand, his thumb running over the line of her brow. The moment was so tender, with no words. “I want you,” she said, “and I’m afraid you’re going to break my heart.” He moved again, he had to move, but the agony, the openness of the raw emotion shining back at him
