Chapter 36 : Guilt
In between lying to her boss on a daily basis that she was following on the client's request she was also lying to everyone around her and because of the guilt she had taken to looking busy and hiding. At the moment it was from Grace,who seemed to be struggling with trying to come up with a conversation. It had never been this way between them. Heather had nodded to her when she came in and had been then fully immersed herself in the internet reading through cases that were similar to hers and what had happened through the trial. Now she was tired and needed a break but she did not want it to be an invitation for Grace to strike up a conversation. Heather's phone lit up and she couldn't be more thankful for a distraction.
