The Luna's Sweet Revenge.

Introduction/Welcome Party.

Laura's POV.

The formal meeting meant to show me and my six associates to the werewolves community had been fixed for today, two days after I had been introduced to the ranked wolves. It wasn't the original plan. The initial idea was to have it a day after I was introduced to the ranked wolves.

But the delay was caused by.a little disagreement over how to go about the whole thing. While Alpha Daniel wanted a party to be held in the pack house to formally welcome me to the pack, I didn't want something as elaborate as that. Instead, I preferred just a meeting of all wolves to be called in the pack house where I would be introduced to them.

After arguments back and forth between us on the issue, I reluctantly agreed with him that we would have a party-like kind of arrangement where I would be introduced to everyone as their Luna.

So, as soon as we had reached an agreement, preparations began in earnest despite the very short time we had. We gave the job of organization to the Beta. He would of course be assisted by his wife, the Beta Female. They are free to delegate the job or parts of it others. The most important thing, for the Alpha is for the job to be done.

At the appointed time, the Pack house was buzzing with Werewolves, a large number of them had arrived and taken their seats. This was according to Sarah, one of my associates who was already on ground at the.pack house and giving me.situatiom reports through the mindlink.

Me and Alpha Daniel we're still at home trying to prepare for the occasion. It was fixed for the afternoon, precisely 3:00 PM. A look at the time on my watch shows the time to be exactly 2 PM already.

Alpha Daniel had already taken his bath in the bathroom of one of the other rooms in the Alpha's living area. He had returned to select an outfit to put on from the large walk-in closet in our shared bedroom.

I had also taken my bath here in our main bedroom but it seems I would have less difficulty in choosing what to put on. And since this event is all about me, I have to be well dressed even though it's an internal affair that doesn't have to do with other werewolf packs.

As matter of fact, I had already mentally selected a blue colored gown which I would put on for the party. As I opened the closet, I quickly took the dress and slid into it without any ceremony. I selected an appropriate pair of shoes to go with it and stood in front of the full length mirror to assess my dressing. It looked okay for the occasion.

I turned to look at the Alpha. Apparently, he had successfully chosen what to wear as I saw him sliding into a cream colored Suit.

Another look at my watch later showed the time was now a few minutes to 3 o'clock.

"We have to be on our way now, so we won't be late, Alpha," I said.

He sized me up very quickly and chipped in a comment about my outfit before responding to my main concern. "You are looking very gorgeous, my Luna. I would mindlink a driver and two assistants to report here now so we can be on our way."

I nodded. I watched him exit the room quickly and return in a matter of minutes.

A few minutes later, one of the pack drivers notified Daniel through the mindlink that they were ready.

"Let's go, Laura," said Alpha Daniel. "They are now ready."

We went out of the bedroom into the lawn and saw that the car had already been parked, with the engine running.

Alpha Daniel sat on the back seat, flanked by the two assistants doubling as bodyguards while I sat in the front passenger seat next to the driver.

"Straight to the Pack house," ordered the Alpha after we had settled comfortably in the car.

The car zoomed off and about 10 minutes later, we had stopped at the entrance of the pack house.

The entire vicinity was buzzing with wolves as if it was a carnival about to happen. wolves were milling around, discussing in groups.

As soon as the car stopped, the bodyguards jumped down and proceeded to clear the way for the Alpha and I to gain entry into the Hall. We entered to find everything already set, waiting for our arrival. Music was already playing softly in the background and many of the wolves were already seated, waiting for proceedings to start.

As soon as we entered, the MC, appointed by the Beta asked everyone in the hall to stand up as we were ushered in.

"The party is about to start. The Alpha and Luna have already taken their seats. So I want all wolves milling around the hall to come inside and take their seats," he announced.

There was a mildly heavy traffic of wolves rushing into the hall after that announcement by the Master of ceremony. Within minutes, almost every seat in the hall had been occupied. Now the program was set to begin.

"We are here today to welcome a very important personality into our midst," began the master of ceremony. "I welcome everyone present in this hall and wish you would all enjoy yourselves fully. Without talking too much, I want to invite our boss, the leader of the Black Hawk Pack of Werewolves, Alpha Daniel Thorpe to come forward and declare this event open."

There was a round of applause from the wolves as the Alpha stood up from his seat and stepped forward towards the podium. The MC handed him the microphone.

Alpha looked around the hall briefly, nodding his head as if expressing his satisfaction with the attendance of his Werewolves. Then he started to speak.

"On behalf of the management of this pack, I have the honor to welcome you all to this introduction/welcome party. What we would be doing here today would be two things in one. First, we would be welcoming our new members to this pack and secondly, we would be eating, drinking and dancing to rejoice with them for coming over to join our pack. We would be welcoming our new Luna and six other wolves that she brought with her from the Golden Emerald Pack. We are having seven new members all at the same time! You will agree with that it is a reason for celebrating."

The hall erupted with a thunderous applause.

When the clapping died down, the Alpha continued. "Without any further protocol, I wish to present to you our much awaited Luna, Laura Taylor, from the Golden Emerald Pack."

There was another loud applause from the crowd. I stood up from my seat and waved my hands to acknowledge the gesture of my fellow Werewolves.

As the applause died down Alpha Daniel handed over the microphone to me and said, "Please address them. Tell them something, at least. They want to hear from you."

I brought out a handkerchief and wiped my brow as I took the microphone from my Alpha mate.

"I have already been introduced to you. There is no need for me to repeat that. I want to say I'm very delighted to be here among you. As you have been told, I didn't come alone. I'm here with six other wolves. You will know them as the party continues. Thank you all."

There was some clapping as I handed over the microphone back to Alpha Daniel. He took over and motioned to the MC to come closer. They consulted briefly and then the Alpha handed over the microphone back to him to continue with the party.

"It's now time to introduce the six wolves that came with our beloved Luna. I want to believe you are all in this hall as I speak. If I'm correct, could you please stand up for proper recognition?" the master of ceremony asked.

All of them stood up where they were seated and there was another round of applause.

After the clapping died down, the MC continued. "Each of you would be required to come forward and introduce yourself please. That's how the Alpha says he wants it done, please. You would tell us your name, only and whether you are happy to be among us or not."

The crowd cheered at the last words said by the MC. They knew it was a joke as none of them would say they are not happy to be here.

The very first wolf to introduce herself was Lucia. She walked briskly to the high table, took the microphone from the MC and spoke. "My name is Lucia Jacob. I'm happy to be here."

There was a round of applause as she handed over the microphone to the MC.

After that, Juliana walked forward to introduce herself. "My name is Juliana Anderson. I am happy to be here."

The crowd clapped and she handed back the microphone.

One by one the four others came forward to introduce themselves and the crowd duly acknowledged them by clapping. A short while later, the introduction part of the program was over.

The master of ceremony continued with the program. He said it was now time for food to be served. He then called on those in charge of serving the food to start the process. The music which was paused for the purpose of the introduction was resumed and the atmosphere became more lively. The music continued to play while those charged with catering were busy sorting things out.

Soon, they started serving everyone present after they had served the Alpha, the Luna, and the other ranked wolves who sat close to each other on the high table.

Those who had been served already continued eating their food while nodding their heads and tapping their feet to the sound of the music. A short while later, everyone had been served and the MC allowed ample time for everyone to finish their food before taking the microphone once more.

"I want to believe we are now done with the food and we can now proceed to the next item on the program. Well, the next thing on the paper I'm holding here is dance. I wish to humbly request the Alpha and Luna of the pack to come over to the floor and dance. As soon as they start dancing, other wolves should also join them on the dance floor."

The Alpha stood up and I followed him as we moved towards the dance floor. The wolves in charge of music had already slotted in a danceable music track as I and the Alpha started to dance.

Suddenly, the dance floor became filled to capacity as everyone in the hall joined us.

After about ten minutes of shaking our bodies, the MC announced that we could go back to our seats.

As the party neared it's end, the MC asked me to nominate one of my associates to give the vote of thanks before the Alpha's final words. Without thinking much about it, I quickly mindlinked Jason to do the job.

Jason proved equal to the task. First, he thanked me Alpha, the ranked wolves and all the community of wolves for welcoming us into the pack. He then went further to thank them for honoring us with a party to show their love for us. He then pledged our unwavering loyalty to the pack."

The speech, though short was very good and I'm impressed with Jason for it despite the very short notice he had.

It was now time for the party to end. So the MC called the Alpha to make a short closing speech and declare the program closed.

Alpha Daniel took the microphone and started to speak. First, he thanked the Beta and other members of the organizing committee for putting together such a good program. He also thanked everyone who came for finding time to attend the party. He then declared the party over.
