The Luna's Sweet Revenge.

Chapter 1.Betrayed. Laura's POV. It had not always been like this from the start. It was rosy from the onset. The relationship between me and Josh Andrew appeared to have been specially arranged by fate.. We are actually not mates,, of course we knew that when we met each other. I knew he was not my mate and he knew I was not his. There was no mistake about that. It was as if we chose one another to be mates. Yes, that's what actually happened. We were very much in love with each other and decided that nothing should separate us. And the wolves in each of our various packs knew it. Because we belonged to different packs from the onset. Josh's father was the Alpha of the Golden Emerald pack before he retired and his son took over, while my own father is the Alpha of the Blue Ridge Pack. Both packs got along very well, even up till date. Our love was so strong that we were the talking points among members of both packs. In order to keep the flame of love between me and Josh burning without any distraction's, my father suggested that we do the partnership ceremony as quickly as possible. After all, said my father, Josh had already become the Alpha upon the retirement of his father, so I was going to become a Luna straight away, assume my functions and contribute my own quota towards the development of the pack. I agreed totally with him and everyone else seemed to agree with him. The day of the ceremony witnessed a huge turnout of wolves from both the Golden Emerald pack and the Blue Ridge pack. Soon after the ceremony, I moved over to the Golden Emerald Pack to become their Luna. I was 21 and he was 23. By special arrangement and permission from my father, six wolves from the Blue Ridge Pack followed me to become members of the Golden Emerald Pack. We had been married for several years and I had become a well respected Luna of our pack. I was well loved not only by our pack members but by Wolves in other friendly packs. Then the problems started. The cracks in the marriage started to appear. My loving husband decided to become cold all of a sudden towards his dear wife. Yes, I said 'decided' because whatever anyone wants to do, they first decide. My beloved Alpha mate would speak to me in a rude manner, refuse to touch me and would despise me in several other ways. I confronted him as soon as I noticed a change in his attitudes. "Alpha Josh, what has been happening to you of recent?" "What do you really mean, my Luna?", he replied with an expressionless face devoid of a smile. "Well, my love," I continued, "you've been so cold of recent, you don't talk to me and the few times you do, you are rash and insulting. You're not showing me love anymore." He was silent for a while before giving an answer. "Is that what you found out? Okay you may not be right at all. But no matter what happens, I can never be overly cold to you. You are my Luna and you will remain so." . I could see that he didn't want to admit. "You might not observe anything yourself, it's me your wife that is better placed to see your shortcomings," I said with an impatient tone. "Okay, if you insist that is what you observed about me, then I'm sorry, but I now have to tell you the truth" he said, drawing me close and patting me on the back. Though I was not overly convinced by his denial of mistreatment and his assurance that he would make things right, I had no choice but to fold my hands and see how things would go. "I have found my mate," he said without any emotion. "I'm sorry for not telling you earlier, but you'll soon get to meet her." I had always suspected he was dating a member of a nearby pack, The Blue Mountain Pack. He would always tell me he was going to visit his friend, Lucas Matthew, the Alpha of the pack. . So, with the pretext of going to see his Alpha friend, he would always visit the pack compound to be with the young she Wolf he was dating. They had several quiet moments together in one of the guest rooms in the Alpha's palace, according to my informant, who is also a member of the pack. Then he brought her into the house. I always knew this day would come. I knew he would one day bring her in to the house to test the waters. I knew he would bring her to test my reaction. Of course, my reaction was hostile. My husband should have expected that before bringing her into our home. She had.stood very close to him the day he brought her. Almost glued to him. He cast a quick admiring glance at her before turning his head to look at me. I quickly studied her before my husband would say the next set of words. I knew fully well the next thing he would do is to introduce her She looked to be about 18. She has black hair, reaching down to her neck, with blue eyes and lush-looking lips. Looking at the girl, Alpha Josh said, "meet my Luna Laura." And looking at me, he said, "This is my mate, Shirley. Shirley Marshall. The girl clasped her hands in front of her and greeted, "Good afternoon, Luna." If anyone thought I would be accommodating, they were mistaken. I answered her no word. Rather I stared her down so coldly that she fidgeted with one of her fingers while looking down at the floor miserably. "So you've finally brought in this slut?" I demanded, gritting my teeth. "She is not a slut," answered Alpha Josh. "She is my mate, just like I told you. Please try to understand." I smirked. "Understand what, my dear?You think I'm not aware of what you have been doing at the pack compound under the pretext of going to visit Alpha Lucas? You have been sleeping with her, if I must tell you. Yes, I know we are not mates, but we are married, ok? As soon as you found your mate, you should have let me know, instead of the secret dalliance you've been having with her." To say my husband was shocked after I made the last sentence would be an understatement. He cupped his chin with his left hand, and then ran the same hand through his dark hair while fixing his gaze on the floor. At that moment he knew the cat had been let out of the bag. He knew he had been caught by the balls What followed was a bitter row which abated only when the intruder left for her Pack. The Werewolf mate claiming ceremony is scheduled for a few days from now. This time, it would be hosted by our pack and preparations were in top gear for us to host the event successfully. On the day of the ceremony everyone was seated. There was a large turnout of wolves from friendly packs that were around our Pack community. I am sure I saw Werewolves from at least 3 packs in attendance.. The program was well under way although the mate claiming agenda on the program had not been reached. I saw the master of ceremony, a Wolf from one of the other packs pacing up and down with a piece of paper in his hand, making sure everything goes on smoothly. Sonorous music was playing out in the background. The event was planned to be as relaxed as possible such that food and drinks would be served quickly and everyone would be eating while the program would continue. I knew this very well because I was a prominent member of the planning committee. Like other guests, I stared to eat my food and take my drinks as soon as they were served. The food was delicious and very tasty and so I wasted no time as I devoured it, cleaning out the plates and sipping every single drop of the drinks. Soon after I finished the food, I started to feel discomfort. It progressed to serious pains in my stomach. My head started to spin and my eyes were becoming dim such I couldn't see clearly anymore. As the minutes passed, I become very weak from the excruciating pain in my stomach. I had been poisoned. Yes, I had eaten poison. Fellow wolves rushed to my aid to lend a helping hand. Our pack doctor, who was nearby, quickly mobilized equipment and rushed to give me attention He tried his best efforts, but despite everything, I died. Yes, I died from food poisoning. The six other wolves who had followed me from my former Pack had also been poisoned. Needless to say, they also died. ......... Now the moon goddess has graciously given me a new lease of life. She has given me another chance to live in this world again. During my sojourn with the moon goddess, all the things that ever happened in my past life were shown to me very clearly, as though I was watching them on a giant TV screen. And I will surely take my revenge against Shirley Marshal and all her accomplices. All those whom she connived with to mess up my past life. None of them would be spared. And when I'm done taking the revenge, it would be a sweet one. I have laid down my plans on how to go about everything. Yes, I might have to play along with my Alpha mate for a while, then in a very short while, I will extricate myself from him and take my revenge. One by one, I would carry out my revenge plans against all those enemies who pretended to be my friends in my previous life.
