The Luna's Sweet Revenge.

Preparing To Move.

Laura's POV.

As I lay on my bed processing my thoughts on what to do next, I heard a slight knock on my door. I asked those at the door to come in. I already knew it was the two wolves I had asked to bring my property home from the Luna office. I had arrived here before them.

My door opened and they came in, each of them carrying a bag.

"Drop them on that table," I said pointing to a table at a corner of the room.

They nodded and dropped them on the table just as I directed tthem to do.

"Thank you," I said. "You can now go back to your work."

"We will surely miss you, Luna," said one of them, Evelyn. The other one, Martha, nodded and agreed with her.

"We will miss your friendliness and motherly advise," said Martha, shaking her head.

"Thank you for your kind words. What can I say? I think I would just say you have a new luna and you should cooperate with her just like you did with me." I said.

Both of them had been attached to my office as receptionists for quite a while. Evelyn had been working with me for about three years now, while Martha joined her about a year later.

Just as they confirmed, they found me easy to work with, hence the compliments. But it is what it is. There is now a new reality and they have to wake up to it.

As soon as we finished the short conversation, they opened the door and left.

I and my associates are leaving here in the next twenty four hours or thereabout and I've not yet informed Alpha Daniel of that fact. I have to do that right away.

So I took my phone and dialled his number. It started to ring and he picked it up.

"Hello Laura," he greeted.

"Hello Darling, how are you doing?" I said.

"Oh, I'm fine," he replied. "I want to assume you're also fine. How are your preparations going?"

"We've virtually finished packing. I've actually handed over the Luna's office to his mate. So we are set to leave here. We will be departing here in the next twenty four hours or thereabout, Daniel." I said.

He sighed deeply and I could hear it over the phone.

"So, how can I come in?" He asked.

"Yes, you can now come in, Daniel," I said. "You would send two vehicles, a pick up truck and a car to help convey us. Two trucks have been allocated to us here as part of our property share, so those would also come handy. Two of the pack drivers here have been detailed to drive them."

"Ok, I will do exactly that. They would leave here first thing tomorrow morning, ok?"

"Alright, Daniel, we shall be waiting for them."

With that, I ended the call.

I stood up and started to search for my refrigerator key, so I could go to the kitchen and get myself a drink. Just as I found it and started to make my way towards the door, I heard a slight tap on the door. I asked who was there to come in.

My door opened and Sarah came in.

"Good afternoon, Luna," She greeted.

I looked at the time on my phone and saw that it was already 12:30 PM.

"Good afternoon, Sarah," I replied. "I want to believe you and the others are all set now?

"For me, I think I've been ready.since the last two days. For the others, I think they are also ready.

"Good to hear that, because I wouldn't want a postponement. I have already asked Alpha Daniel to send some vehicles to facilitate our movement."

She nodded. "That's very good to hear, mummy."

"So, I was already going to the kitchen to get myself a drink when you came in. Go and do that quickly and then prepare lunch for me.

"Okay, mummy," she said.

I gave her the key of the refrigerator and she went out of the room.

Meanwhile, I busied myself going through one of my documents I had brought with me from the office. 'I have gathered a great deal of experience here as the Luna in the last five years. All these will come in handy for me as I face my work at the Black Hawk Pack,' i thought to myself.

As I continued to process my thoughts about the future, my door opened and Sarah came back in with a tray containing the food she had just finished cooking.

"I've finished cooking," she said and placed the tray gently on a low stool.

"Your own food?" I asked.

She smiled. "I've eaten it in the kitchen."

"Okay," I observed.

I started to eat the food and sip my drink as I and Sarah continued to talk about our impending movement.
