Gideon stood exactly where she had left him. The door to the corridor remained open, her scent still clinging to the air. His eyes still lingered where she disappeared as her words resonated in his mind. He dragged a hand down his face, the Alpha slipping for just a heartbeat. She was furious, and it was engraved to his heart of what he had just done. He could still hear it. The way her voice had gone quiet before she left. Not anger. Not accusation. Decision. That frightened him more than her claws ever could. 'You really messed up...' His wolf whispered in disappointment. "Shut up," he replied annoyingly before dragging himself back to his chambers. With his sensitive ears, he managed to hear Henrietta throwing fit in her room. Sighing, he couldn't understand himself anymore.
