This wasn't the best time to strike back at them, I had to take things slowly with them so that they would be left with no one to replace them when they were finally gone.
Undoubtedly, the only thing Jude knew how to do best was to give empty threats. So of what use was it if I took his threats to heart? As for my mother whom he threatened to kill in order to replace Merida, I had no fears about that because I knew what she was capable of doing.
I still stuck to my promise of making sure I dealt with them one after the other until they all were completely wiped out of the surface of the earth.
