Two Worlds

Chapter 9

From week one to the end of the month Danny learned a lot about the human world: their foods, scents, money and more. Even Danny and Roxy became friends, still Danny had no clue of Roxy's secret. Roxy wanted Danny to get to know her before she told him she was the one he was looking for. As for Danny he was still guarded but not as much as he used to be when he appeared in the human world. To him Roxy is a very kind and trustworthy human to have as a friend. In the middle of the month, early morning one day Danny went out not to look for a Roxy who may wed him but to go out in the ocean to gather some treasure to give Roxy, whom he's staying with. Danny felt as if he was causing some sort of trouble, staying with Roxy who is paying for food and such. While Danny went out in the ocean treasure hunting, Roxy and Erka chatted telepathy. The moment Roxy senses Danny anywhere near the house she will busy herself whether it is watching television, reading, and so forth. "Daniel! Did you find that human girl?" "No but I did find out that name is popular. I'm staying at someone's house, her name is Roxy but it's not her, she just moved there. I'm looking for someone who knows about mermaids, the necklaces and bracelets, and been living in that town for a while." "You sure she's not lying?" "I tested her a little like water plants and such, I even asked if she's seen anyone with a similar necklace as mine since she moved there. She said 'no.' I can say though she's very nice and I'm happy to have her as a friend." "Friend from above?" "Crazy I know, considering we don't travel much but it's interesting above, not just because of Roxy but everything like their food." "I'll have to visit you some time and meet Roxy." "Yeah. You'll like her, she'll be happy to meet one of my friends." "So what are you doing out here?" "Looking for stuff from a ship. Things from the human world." "Why?" "To give to Roxy, I want thank her for all she's done." "I'll help ya." "Tyler thank you." "You're welcome." Tyler and Danny both browsed looking for treasure, to both mermans it felt odd and in some way curious about anything found. Like usual Roxy telepath chatted with Erika about the usual stuff: work, how things are going with anything including Danny. Erika liked their chatting and also found it interesting that Danny believed Roxy's lie or how it'll fold out when Roxy tells Danny. The day Danny went out to look for something to give Roxy was the day Roxy was off guard and almost got caught using her spell casting and telepath by Danny. Thankfully Roxy sensed Danny in time and stopped, immediately picking up a magazine. The minute Danny opened the front door and saw Roxy with a magazine said 'hey' and closed the door. "I got this with my friend for you." "Me?" "It's to thank you for helping me." "Are you leaving?" "No, I just wanted to thank you. Oh, and my friend wants to meet you sometime." "Sure. Let me know when your friend wants to come over, I'll make some snacks or food." Danny smiled and handed Roxy a small box with a white flowered vase inside. "Thank you, it's lovely." I'll put it here." Placing the vase on the table in front of the side window.
