The wedding was over.
Rue found herself in a car with Sebastian. The car was a jeep, an expensive jeep, so it was not a small car. It was spacious, and yet, for some reason, she could not breathe. Her lungs constricted, her vision swam, her head ached and her heart grew heavy. She was trapped, with nowhere to go.
“Mila.” Sebastian said softly.
She opened her eyes and she looked at him.
“Are you okay?” He asked, frowning.
He was handsome, that was obvious. He was tall, a sharp jaw, short brown hair that was always polished and piercing blue eyes that seemed to see through her.
He killed her sister. He killed Mila. And, yet, he was here, looking at her with love in his gaze. She felt a fleeting moment of bliss, fleeting, but bliss nonetheless. She would take great satisfaction in wiping out the light in his eyes. He killed her best friend and she was going to make him wish he was dead. He destroyed her life and she was going to return the favor in ten folds.
She could kill him right now. Pull out the knife strapped to her inner thigh and slit his throat. She could, but that would be mercy. She wanted to bleed him dry, but what she wanted does not matter, at least not yet, she had to wait for directive from Foggy and SABRE.
“Mila, come on. We don't do silent treatment, remember? Just tell me if I did anything wrong. We are married for f***s sake. It is our wedding day. Tell me what I did, so I can fix it.” Sebastian whispered.
Rue shook her head, he could not fix this, he could not bring Mila back from the dead.
“I'm fine. Just overwhelmed.” She finally spoke and he frowned “Overwhelmed?”
“Anxious.” She clarified and he nodded “I understand. We'll get home soon and you'll rest.”
“I'm sorry for being a Debby Downer. I did not mean to rain on your parade. I'm just exhausted.” She whispered, looking at him in a way that would make him lower his guard. Every man wanted to be a Knight in Shining Armor and she would be his Damsel in Distress. She would play her role to perfection.
“You're perfect the way you are, baby.” He kissed her cheek and she leaned into him. She was alert, never relaxed. She had a knife strapped to her thigh.

London was beautiful. It was also the city her sister was buried.
She remembered where she was, when she got the news that Mila was dead. She was in Amsterdam, on a mission, spying on the Russian Embassy. Her mission was to eliminate a target. She was close when she got the call.
She still eliminated the target, but upclose and personal. She used a knife, slit his throat and watched as the life bleed out of his eyes. Then, she flew to London immediately – only for Foggy to tell her her new mission – Finish what Mila couldn't and get her revenge.
Rue had been to Mila's grave only once.
She should have visited yesterday when she had the chance, and even now, knowing she could slip away for some moment, she was still reluctant. The guilt clung to her, it was shameful that she had settled into Mila's life. It was disgusting how quickly she slipped on Mila's skin.
Perhaps that was why she couldn't do it, why she was reluctant to go, because she was ashamed of herself. Ashamed of what she had done.
She glanced out the window, watching the streets of London blur past.
“Can you give me a moment, Sebastian?” She asked and Sebastian looked at her, confused “A moment?”
“I need to see someone. I need to pay my respect. There's a graveyard few minutes from here.” She said softly, truly and Seb's eyes widened “Of course, darling. We'll make a stop at the flower shop just ahead.”

Rue held on to the Lilies. She looked at the gravestone.
Her name was on it. And, it felt strange seeing it. She was alive and yet the gravestone carried her name on it. Her gaze ran over the inscription on it – Rue Calloway. A sister. A friend. Sweet, sweet Rue. Pretty like Lilies. Pure like a Dove. See you soon.
Grief slammed into her as she stared at her sister's grave. She dropped the Lilies and kissed the cold stone.
One died but two stopped breathing.
“I'll see you soon, Mila.” She whispered and pushed back tears.
She knew Sebastian was watching her, she could feel his gaze on her but she did not look at him. He took her sister, she would not let him take this moment too.
Her phone beeped, it was a message from Foggy, encrypted. Her gaze went over it and she read it – Suspend the killing. You will have your revenge, just not now. Play your role to perfection. There's a deal that'll break him. An Art Gallery. Money Laundering. Listen and let me know.
She glanced ahead and saw him. She turned and walked to the car. Sebastian met her half way and placed his suit on her shoulder. He kissed her cheek and helped her into the car.
“Do you feel better? Even a little bit?” He asked her softly and she smiled, she sniffed and she nodded “I – I do. A little. Thank you, Sebastian. You're the best husband ever.”
He smiled “Don't put me on a pedestal yet, my love, but I will do everything I can to make sure I am the best husband for you, Mila.”
“Thank you.” She nodded and laid her head on his chest.
The Wolfe Manor was ten minutes away, and she waited, because she knew he would ask.
“You lost someone.” Seb exhaled and she nodded, eyes welling with tears “I did. My sister.”
“I'm sorry.” He whispered and she shrugged, saying nothing.
She did not need his apology, she wanted his death.
He was going to die.
She would set his world aflame and let him watch.
