"They think I'm too crazy to think outside the box. They say "you're obsessed", whereof I'm just way ahead. They say it can't of which it can. They are just myopic minded and it's sad. They are dreamers without a belief, they enjoy dreaming but are afraid to wake and live the dream. They are resistant to change and that's what makes them weak. They are scorners always up minding other peoples progress, instead of rising up for their well being...well they are who they are, and they ain't gonna change for nobody, you just gotta stand up for what you believe in and do not hesitate. Because i am me, and beloved sometimes it ain't pride, it's just that this soul is highly self esteemed and i've been determined all the way."

Tsekani, a teenage girl who lives in the world of her own. Despite her family's financial status quo, she aspires to be big, not only in her dreams but she is determined to bridge her fantasies from the dream world to the actual world.

Chapter 1: Me, Myself and I
Living in wild dreams has become a daily part of her life, it seems it is the only thing that makes her days and nothing can surpass these little creative episodes. As she sat on her mothers torn camouflaged couch with earplugs on, Tsekani is in her own world, smiling as she admires the person she aspires to be. It's only a week to the Kalyani High School price giving day, and in the back off her mind poor Tsekani can't help assuming the visions of that auspicious day. The episode goes; There on a price giving day at school , the master of ceremony announces with joy "...and our overall grade 9 student is ...Tsekani Uma...come on crowd let's all ululate with pride, this young lady has proven to be hardworking and it has only yielded nothing but excellence ...come on crowd !!!" While the MC is on top of his voice Tsekani sees herself walking in slow motion down the isle with pride and her head's up. As she was just about to shake the Headmaster's hand she felt as if her best friend rushed and hugged her from behind , "Oh my goodness Kani you did it! I'm so proud bestie..."... Well as she was still away, with her eyes closed, her music on full volume, she mistook her mothers taps on her shoulder to her best friend's shoulder hug. She got confused because her mother never calls her by her nickname, but, surprisingly that day she did. "Kani...Tsekani !, can't you hear me calling you?" Quickly she detached her earphones that's when Kani realised that she's at home and her mother was standing behind her. She jumped up from the sofa and stood attentively because by her mothers look she knew nothing was good at all. "Yes mum." with a shaking voice. "You're doing it again? ...How many times have i told you that you need to grow up and stop thinking about yourself only, goodness me...only God knows if you're concentrating in class." (facepalm then release). "I'm sorry mother, i didn't hear you calling because i had earphones on, and i thought i was alone, sorry...when did you get back?" Mrs Uma throws her purse on the sofa and draws a chair to sit. "Not long ago...get me water to drink." "sure." exiting the lounge. (few moments later) it appears Tsekanis mother has dozed off on the sofa, her cousin, Akil just arrived from school and Kani is preparing lunch for her. (kitchen) "Having 'planks' again, i wish i hadn't finished the sandwich Melani bought for me." says Akil (frowning) . "Why are you telling me that, do you think i care?" Akil sneering at Tsekani "Of course not, who doesn't know that you're a maniac, you always thinking - day dreamer...seriously , wake up" (rolls her eyes as she exits the kitchen ) "Yeah whatever at least I'm not bipolar!" (Phone beeps) Kani turns to check her phone, it was her best friend Lela. She dropped the knife and went outside, her best friend was waiting at the gate. "At least he is not some imaginary guy from Atlantis" she flouted. That afternoon they went to school for sport. By the time Kani heard that she had already reached the gate where her friend was, and she was eager to turn back and deal with her rude cousin. "You know Lela, one day imma whoop Akil black and blue. She's so disrespectful." (Lela giggles) "You always say that chommie, come on let it go...we running late." ~~~
