Chapter 2 Part 2

I wasn’t sure I wanted to tell him anything, but it might work out better if I say just a little bit. “Ever since I got my quirk, people have been telling me that I have a villains quirk and that I am a demon. My quirk is called DemonAngel. I have multiple powers within this one quirk split in two. It’s kind of like I have a demon side and an angel side. Powers from my angel side are white in color. Powers from my demon side are black in color. I was called a villain by those I thought I could trust. I was hated because they only paid attention to the demon half of my quirk. It wasn’t exactly a fun childhood either. The only ones that didn’t treat me differently were my two childhood friends. If it weren’t for them, I don’t think I would be here right now.” “Well, you shouldn’t hate your quirk just because others do. I haven’t seen you use your quirk yet, but I already know that it is an amazing quirk. Don’t let other people tell you different. Now, let’s talk about how this internship is going to work. When I do patrols in the afternoon and on weekends, you will be coming with me. When we aren’t patrolling, either I will be helping you with your quirk or we will just be doing things to get to know each other. We will start next week so on Monday, get dressed in something moveable but warm at the same time so you don’t freeze. I will meet you at the front gate around, uh, 3:30 after school. My patrol starts at 4:00 so that should be enough time. Is that okay?” he said. I just nodded my head and looked at the sky again. We just stood there for a few moments admiring the sky. “So, you said that you loved heights right?” he asked. “Um, yeah why?” I answered a little skeptical. He answered me with only a smile, and I let out a yelp in surprise as he picked me up. I held on tight since I wasn’t expecting it. “Hey, it’s okay, I’m just gonna take us on a little flight.” He said. I held on to him a little bit tighter and slowly nodded my head as I closed my eyes. He raised his wings up high and took off into the sky. I opened my eyes and looked down to be met with a breath-taking sight of the city. Whatever panic I had before immediately went away as I took in the view. It may have been mid-morning, but the view is just as amazing as it would have been at night or when the sun sets. I felt calm and at peace. It was a pleasant change. “So that’s what you look like when you smile.” Hawks said. I gave a little blush and avoided looking at him. “Haha, well, let’s go back down before Aizawa starts to freak out about where we are.” He stated. I just nodded my head and watched the sky as we made our decent. As soon as we touched the ground, he gently let me down and said, “You should smile more. Now let’s get to class before we find an angry Aizawa. I don’t want him to kill me.” With a smile. I nodded my head and walked with him back to the classroom. When we entered, a few people glanced at us but went back to talking. “Where were you guys, it’s almost lunch now.” Mr. Aizawa asked. It looks like he got paired up with Denki. Somehow I feel sorry for them both. “We just talked on the roof, it’s not a big deal.” Hawks said with an eye roll. “It is when I sent a student to get you, and you weren’t there. What else did you do?” “Um well, we went on a walk around campus.” Hawks said. I mean technically we flew around campus, but I guess it’s the same thing. Mr. Aizawa just gave him a look of disbelief and said, “Alright class, I am sure you have had enough time to discuss how your internships will work. The Pro Heroes have to get back to their actual job now so you will see them some other time. Now, you Hero’s get back to what you were doing so I can send my students to lunch, sleep, and teach afterwards.” As he pointed to the door at the end. A few Pros laughed but left none the less. After they had left and the door had closed, he dismissed us and crawled back into his sleeping bag. Bakugo walked towards me and asked, “Where the hell did you go?” “Well, he kind of took me on a flight around the school. It was kind of fun though. I haven’t felt the wind on my face in a long time. Who did you end up choosing?” I asked him. He gave something like a growl and said, “Gran Torino. I got that old man, and I already don’t like him.“ “Well to be fair Kacchan, you don’t like anyone. I had him before and he’s not bad. I got Tiger this time though so I wonder how this will go.” Izuku said. “I like people, just not losers or idiots or all these extra’s here. Kii’s not any of those because she is my best friend, and you are still a loser and somewhat an i***t, but somehow you are still something of a friend but not really.” Bakugo replied. “I don’t know whether to feel happy or sad with what you said.” Izu said with a confused expression. Bakugo just shrugged and walked to his table to eat. Once we all got our food and sat down, I glanced at Bakugo, a little confused on why he said it like that. I decided that I might ask him later and started eating. The day after tomorrow is my last day here till I have to go home and deal with my parents. That won’t be fun. I will have to pick up some more make-up to cover the bruises later. “Shinso, who did you end up getting?” I asked him. “I got paired with Thirteen. The one that looked like an astronaut.” He said. “Oh. I hope you have fun. What about you Denki?” “Man, I got paired with Aizawa. He already hates me, and I think this will just make it worse. Now he can ridicule me even more now. I kinda feel bad for Mineta though. He got paired with Endeavor and I don’t think he’s gonna make it. And Uraraka got Midnight so I wonder how that will go.” Denki said. “I wanna know to. I mean Uraraka is pretty innocent, and Midnight is the total opposite of that. I can see Uraraka coming home with a red face all the time.” Mina said which sent off a round of giggles. “You ended up with Ectoplasm right? I got Rock Lock. That dude is manly! Who did you get Serobro?” Kirishima said. “I actually got Edgeshot. He’s seems like a cool dude but he’s pretty edgy, no pun intended.” Sero said with a small laugh at the end. “Who did you get Todoroki-kun?” Midoriya asked. “I got All Might.” He said. “That seems like fun, I got Gang Orca kero.” Tsuyu said. Everyone started conversing about how they thought the internships would go. “Excuse me Akiyama, may I borrow you for a moment?” a guy with a bird head asked me. I slowly nodded my head and got up to follow him. Once we got a little bit away, he said, “My name is Fumikage Tokoyami in case you didn’t know. I just wanted to give you a heads up that Hawks can be a bit overwhelming when you first meet him. I interned with him last time and he can get kinda wild. He also talks a lot so be ready for that as well. He is crazy energetic and can get you to agree with most of the things he says. I just wanted to let you know that, so you are prepared when he decides to do what he sets his mind to.” “Thank you for the warning Tokoyami. I will be sure to keep it in mind. And thanks for even bothering to tell me.” I said. “It’s no problem…….what are friends for?” he said a little hesitant at the friends part. I gave him a smile and said, “Yeah and thank you, I mean it.” He nodded his head and went back to wherever he was eating lunch at. Once I sat back down, the conversation had moved to what they were gonna do on the weekend. “Yeah man, I am tellin’ ya. This weekend we should hang out at my place. On Saturday you could come over and I think I can convince my parents that those of you that want to stay the night can. I can tell you on Friday for sure but give me until then. What do ya say guys?” Denki was saying. It seemed like a promising idea. “You know me and Sero are gonna be there. Mina you coming?” Kirishima said. “Yeah I can. I have to make sure with my mom, but I believe I can. What about you Bakuhoe?” she said. “I don’t have time to waste on you extras.” “Aw come on man; you should come over. I won’t stop asking until you do.” Denki spoke up. “If I go will you extras stop fuckin bothering me about it?” Bakugo asked. “Yeah but you have to actually go. Not say you will and then not show up. If you do, I will have Akiyama help me bring you over. On that note, are you coming Akiyama?” Denki asked. “Oh, um, actually, I can’t go. My p-parents want me home this weekend. I’m sorry.” I said. “That’s too bad but maybe we can try next weekend.” Denki said. I just nodded my head and he turned to converse with Sero. ”You are going to your parent’s house this weekend?” Bakugo asked. “Um, yeah, I have to go home on the weekends. Don’t worry, I think I will be fine.” I whispered to him. He just continued to eat his food with a slight concerned look on his face. A little bit later lunch ended so it was time to go to the last two classes of the day. All through the classes, I kept thinking on how the weekend could go. I for sure have to pick up more make-up and bandages. And I won’t be able to let my wings out at all so that is gonna be a pain. Now that school is over for today, I headed back to the dorms with Denki to my left, Bakugo in front of me, Izuku to my right, and Shinso behind me. It was like I was boxed in, but it felt safe. Once we got back to the dorms, we all went our separate ways to our rooms. In the elevator ride, Denki asked if I could come over for a moment. I said sure, so I was now on my way to his dorm after getting changed. I knocked on the door and heard a muffled, “Come in!” I opened the door and walked in to see Denki on his bed with his phone in his hands. Not only that, Firework, Mina, Kirishima, and Sero where here as well. “Hey g-guys, what’s up?” I asked. I wasn’t expecting everyone here. “I figured that if you weren’t gonna be able to come this weekend, then we could all hang out today! That way, you don’t feel left out this weekend. What do you think?” Denki said. I smiled and said, “Um, sure.” I sat down next to Firework waiting to see what we should do. “So, who’s up for Truth or Dare?” Mina asked. I shrugged my shoulders while others said something along the lines of “Yeah” “Who starts off first then?” I asked. They all looked around before Kirishima said, “How about you go first? You are the new addition to the Bakusquad so you can go first.” Everyone agreed so I thought of who to ask first. “Okay then…..Mina, Truth or Dare?” I asked her. “Dare.” She said. “I dare you to….sing us a song.” I said. She nodded, a bit hesitant, and started singing. I recognized the song as Kings & Queens. She is really good at singing. “Damn Mina! I didn’t know you were that good at singing!” Denki said. Kirishima looked like he was gonna die of happiness and Sero was nodding. You could tell that he was impressed. After a few more rounds, it was Sero’s turn. “Kiri! T or D Bro?” “D Bro!” he answered. “Okay then, I dare you to call your crush!” Sero yelled. Kirishima’s face turned as red as his hair and said, “Never mind, I pick T.” “Then tell us who your crush is.” He said with a sly smile. I could tell Kirishima knew he wasn’t going to get out of this, so he picked up his phone and showed us he was going to his contacts. Then he turned his phone towards him and hit the button. Next thing we knew, Mina’s phone was going off. She looked at it, then back at Kirishima with her face becoming a red tint. It was hard to tell though because of her pink skin. “Kiri?” she said, trying to see if he was telling the truth. He wouldn’t look at her and the blush never left his face. Mina went to where he was sitting, put her hands on his face, and kissed him on the lips. “I like you too!” she said afterwards. They were both red and had goofy smiles on their faces. “Then, Mina, will you be my girlfriend?” he asked her. She nodded her head with a big smile and went back to where she was before. I could tell that everyone was happy for them. I was too. Then, after a couple more rounds, Firework had his shirt off because Denki dared him to, Denki was taped to the ceiling by Sero who was dared by Bakugo, Mina dared to paint my nails, and now, Kirishima was next. He looked around the room before his eyes landed on me. “Okay, Akiyama, Truth or Dare?” “Umm, I think Dare.” I said. I hope it’s not something to bad. “Okay then. I dare you to……..tell us who your closest friend is out of Midobro and Bakubro.” He said. “Okay then…well to be honest I am close to both of them. But at the moment, I feel closer to Firework then Izu. Izu seems like he’s been pretty busy lately. I get it though, he’s a Hero in training so he needs all the time he can get.” “Well so am I, but you don’t see me dropping everything for f*****g training. I haven’t seen you in fuckin’ years. Like hell, I would just basically ignore you and not pay the f**k attention. f**k that. I lost you once, I am gonna make sure that doesn’t happen again.” Bakugo said. Everyone looked at him like he had three heads. Except for me. “How did you get him to admit that you are friends? He still won’t admit it with us!” Denki yelled. I flinched a bit and I guess Firework saw and said, “If I admit it, will you shut the f**k up and stop yellin’? Can’t you see that it bothers the s**t out of her?” They immediately looked over at me and said, “We are sorry! We are kind of naturally loud. Also, thanks for admitting it Blasty.” At the same time. Honestly, that was a bit creepy. “It’s fine really. I appreciate it though.” I guess that was enough of truth or dare because in the next few seconds, the floor was covered in tons of board games. “Um, guys. I-I think it’s time for dinner.” I said after a while of playing. I had won Monopoly and came second in all the others. I was getting a bit hungry and realized that it was almost dinner time. “Yeah, I’m going to get started on dinner. You Extras pick this place up, Kii, you are gonna help me.” Bakugo said. “Okay, Firework.” When we got to the kitchen, Izu was there looking through the fridge. “What are you doing Deku?” Bakugo asked. Izu jumped and hit his head on the top of the fridge. “Kacchan!” I giggled a little as Bakugo talked. “What were you doing in my f*****g fridge!” he yelled at Izu. I flinched a bit from the yelling and Izu said, “W-well, I was thinking of having some leftovers for dinner. And no yelling, remember? At least not right now.” “Damn it. I forgot about that. Wait, why the hell haven’t you been hanging around Kii? We haven’t seen her in years, and you haven’t said much to her at all.” Bakugo questioned him. I guess he wasn’t going to let that go. I don’t want them to start fighting again. “I haven’t been able to make the time. My other friends keep pulling me every which way and I have been training even harder to make sure that I can be strong enough, so she doesn’t get hurt again. I have been studying as well so I can pass all of the classes.” Izu said. I could tell that Bakugo was still a bit upset but let it slide. “You do know that she still has to go home on the weekends right? We can’t go with her so we can’t do anything. As much as I hate it, unless she decides to say something, nothing can be done.” Bakugo said. No one said a word after that. I know that they want to help, but the last time someone tried to help me, no one believed them, and I couldn’t walk for a week. “Guy’s, let’s just get dinner going.” I said. They nodded and started getting pots and pans out to start cooking. After about an hour in the kitchen, dinner was done and on the table. Once everyone was seated, we all began eating and conversing. I must say even though I haven’t been here but three days, including today, I feel like it won’t be so bad here. Maybe in time I can show my wings to them. That would be nice. I may not be ready for the weekend, but I can’t stop it. I just have to enjoy my time while I can.
