Chapter 5

I just ignore the text messages I received from heusaff and focus on rhiana because up until now she is still inside the operating room ..

I felt asleep for a couple of hours and when I wake up I received a message from Isha that the operation is already done and the doctor said that everything went well ..

After hearing that I rushed to the hospital and wait until rhiana got her consciousness ..

after a few hours the nurse told us that we can now visit her inside the room so we went inside , then I look at her lying down in bed sleeping like a baby ..

I sit beside her bed and hold her hands and even if she is sleeping , I know that she can hear me ...

so that I told her to recover fast and I will be waiting for her .. after that her hands moved and her eyes opened so I call the doctor quickly ..

I really don't know what would I feel , I am happy that she is now awake but still I am worried if she still remember who am I ..

then she says," why am I here?.

the doctor replied and said," you are at hospital and had an operation. can you recognized this woman beside me? " (the doctor pointed at me)

"this woman...

she looks familiar ...."

I was about to cry but then she said,

"she looks like my wife , because she is my wife "

I can't contain the happiness I felt so I rushed to hug her and didn't notice that I was squeezing her so tight..

"a-aww calm down love , I know you love me but you are squeezing me tight"

I-i'm sorry , I am just so happy that you still recognized me ..

"did you forget my promise to you ? and you know what when I enter the operation room I continuously remind myself about how you look like , what's your name and everything about you .."

I just smile at her and tell her to get well as soon as possible because I am missing her so much ..

after the operation she continuously had a frequent dizziness but the doctor said that it was common for the patients that undergo the surgery and she just needs some rest ..

days went by and she was able to recover fast and the doctor already allowed her to go home ..

Rhiana seems fine and recovering well and began to browse the internet about something which I don't know about ..

and when I asked her about it , she will just tell me that it's a "secret" that I will know when the right time comes..

I still receive threats from heusaff telling me that He will not stop until my life became miserable because of what happen between us , He became possessive and more likely became stalker .. but since I am here abroad with rhiana he can't find me ..

Rhiana would notice me getting inside the bathroom each time I receive those message and I just tell her that it was a spam message ..

Rhiana's POV

after a few weeks of my surgery I was able to live normal life .. I was able to be back on track just how it used to be ..

I then notice francine receiving lots of messages to the point where it became more suspicious ..

one night when she felt asleep , I tried to sneak to her phone and saw an unknown number it was a threat and I already had a clue who it was which is no other than "heusaff" ..

the man that I set her up with when I am still in deep distress about my cancer ..

I texted Him and told him to stop bothering francine and heusaff tell me that she will just stop if francine's life became miserable..

I then replied , " as long as I am alive , you can't mess with francine .. I will protect her at all cost so cut this nonsense "

but it seems that heusaff will not stop , so I ended up contacting my friend which is a lawyer and asked her about things on how to file a case against someone who continuously sending threats ..

just before I send the screenshot's to my friend, francine ask me what am I doing ..

but since i want to keep it from her I just told her that it's nothing ..

after 1 month

I regained my strength and quickly recovered so I just cherished every moment with francine .. I also prepare all the things I need once I go back to work since I just told my boss that I will have a vacation abroad ..

our one month together is a memorable one since this is the first time that we live as a couple .. and going back to our house is another story to tell ..

we are now living as the usual couple at home and when we are outside we are friends .. our coworkers already knew that we live together so it's not a big deal .. but since we already confess our love to each other we became more shy unlike before ..

we lose track of the days and the precautions from the doctor that if ever that my head was injured again due to an accident it might have a side effects on my brain ...

not until one day ,

while I am fixing the light bulbs because it's flickering , I slip my foot through the stairs and bump my head and when I woke up I am lying at the hospital bed ..

I didn't recognized the person in front of me so I asked him who he is,

then he answered ," Rhiana? can't you recognized me? I am Dr. Ramirez .. you're personal doctor ..

I tried to close my eyes and open it again to see if there will be any changes and to my surprise His face change into a different face , everytime I close my eyes and open it the person's face in front of me will change so then I thought that maybe I am just dreaming ...

so I tried to pretend to sleep again then wake up but then I realize I am not dreaming ..

so I began to get paranoid and run through the hospital isle and look each person's faces but then I could not recognized them at all , their faces changes everytime I tried to close my eyes ..

due to the fear I am having right now I hide under the table not until I heard a footsteps coming in my way ..

and when I look at her she was wearing her usual clothes , white dress with her favorite eye glasses ..

it is her ...

the person I love the most ...

it's francine ...

I was in awe to know that the only face I could recognized is her face ..

I quickly run to her and hug her as if she was my night and shining armor , she was speechless and didn't know what's happening and all she knows is that I had an accident ..

"w-why? what's wrong love ? what happen?"
