As soon as Asher reached the Hunters' base, he found the leader impatiently waiting for him, his expression sour. As expected the guys who accompanied him to the vampire stronghold had already ratted out. "You messed up big time, Asher." He coldly declared. "I know." Asher curtly replied. "I'm sorry about that." "I received a call from the Ventrue faction's leader. He wasn't happy at all. He's even talking about resuming the hostilities with us." Vincent's demeanor was calm on the outside, but Asher could sense the fury bubbling within him. "It's not like you to make such blunders. Especially ones which will place us all at risk!" "I'm aware of my mistake." Asher said solemnly. "I'll make sure it doesn't happen again." Vincent stared at him probingly for a while, then sighed wearily.
