Asher's thoughts were tortured as he bolted away from his property like he couldn't wait to get away from it. Each second he spent in her presence clouded his judgement, continuously tempting him. And he hated her for it. Even just now, he was on the verge of giving in to his urge to hold her and soothe away the distressed look in her eyes. But he knew she was the one deliberately doing this… there was no other explanations to his uncontrollable reactions. So he used the gnawing ache in his heart to further pull forth his hatred.
