Serah couldn't sleep properly that night. Asher's actions made her feel so disoriented. Being comforted by him felt so good. In that moment, all her fears and inner turmoil just disappeared and she didn't want him to stop. But she knew better than to let herself be fooled into thinking he cared about her. The next day he would probably go back to ignoring her and there was only so much her pride could take. The next day, she was trying to sneak to the kitchen, hoping she wouldn't encounter Asher. But she bumped right into him as she turned towards the stairs.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" He asked in amusement as he helped her regain her balance.
"I'm not really…" she mumbled, looking anywhere but at him. "Well then I'll get going now." She swiftly resumed her trek towards the kitchen,
