Chapter 1: Survival in the wilderness
When I woke up, I was already in that state, with that uncomfortable and helpless situation in front of me.
What exactly is that situation?
You can imagine someone tying you to a tree while you were asleep, your hands and feet tied tightly with ropes, your mouth sealed with a seal, and you still half asleep, wearing thin clothes. When you woke up, confused and with your dim vision aware that you were in a deserted forest, you tried to save yourself, but found that you couldn't get out of the situation. Frightened and uneasy, you could only hope that someone would come to this deserted forest.
Jarod is devastated. He is wearing a short-sleeved shirt and his throat is a little dry. He feels a light breeze and vaguely remembers eating a bowl of buckwheat noodles prepared by his mother before he fell asleep. He was sitting at the table talking to his father. Jarod, who usually goes to bed late, suddenly feels sleepy and goes to bed early.
With his head down, Jaro felt a little warmth on his chin. Tied to a tree, he never got to see what exactly had sealed his entire chin. Still able to breathe relatively easily, Jaro confirmed that there was no danger for the time being, and he seemed to fall asleep standing up. However, Jaro had only just fallen asleep when he was awakened by a roar: 'Owww!
There was a strange sound in the silence and Jaroo, who had opened his eyes quickly, saw a dozen figures approaching. With a dozen grey wolves staring at him, Jaroo was in a panic. He stood on tiptoe and tried to climb into a tree to hide, but the ten or so black ropes tied to his body were extremely strong. Jaroo, realising he was about to be eaten by the grey wolves, continued to send out signals that seemed to beg for mercy. His head was swollen and his voice hoarse.
The ten or so ferocious-looking grey wolves had not eaten for three days, and as their prey, Jaro, could not satisfy their needs, the grey wolves, who had suddenly stopped moving, were holding a discussion in front of their prey. However, the grey wolves did not expect Jaro, who could only wait to die, to suddenly do something strange. Fighting with all his might, Jaro managed to free himself from the restraints on his left hand. Ignoring the pain, he shouted, "Don't eat me, as long as you don't eat me, I'll give you plenty of food!
As the grey wolves watched their leader die, their fierce eyes saw that their prey had only raised his left hand. Having reached a unanimous decision, the grey wolves decided to bite their prey to death first. But they were shocked to see Jarol's left hand flailing about in panic. The grey wolves, not daring to take another step forward, finally decided to give up the prey they could have had...
Confused, Jaro saw one of the grey wolves suddenly collapse. He thought that the other wolf had fallen due to injury or illness, and he did not think much about it, worrying about his own safety. When he saw the grey wolves turn around one after the other, he thought he had escaped death and was immediately relieved. But he did not dare to move when he saw one of the grey wolves suddenly turn. This wolf pounced on the 'unwell' grey wolf.
So the grey wolves ate their 'dinner' in front of Jaro. Seeing this for the first time, Jaro gagged and felt uncomfortable all over, remembering the scenes of his mother killing a chicken and his father slaughtering a sheep. When the grey wolves had gone, Jaro, glad to have survived, quickly pulled on the black rope that bound him.
Finally free, Jaro was extremely tired and, not knowing where he was, he sat down on the ground in a daze: 'Is this the horror of nature? Where will these grey wolves go? Will they run into the village? This is bad, I must tell the people in the village about this! Huh? Ah!'
Jaroo, whose left cheek felt extremely hot, quickly raised his left hand. He felt something through the marks on his left hand: 'Is this a mask? Then just now... why couldn't I speak? Huh? When can I speak? After the burning had gone, Jaroo tried to lift the mask, but he could not. Thinking he was weak, he closed his eyes and looked at the pool of blood not far away.
But Jarou, leaning against a tree, had only just closed his eyes when a strange voice reached his ears: 'Oh? The human sacrifice is really interesting this time! Jarou, whose emotions were once again tense, saw a red skull emerge from the pool of blood. Instinctively afraid, he clung to the tree in panic: 'Monster, don't come any closer!
Monster? If I'm a monster, child, what are you? "Do you have to ask? Of course I'm... I am..." Jarro suddenly remembered something and felt very lost: "Many people in the village call me a freak and say I'm an omen, but my father and mother never thought that. I am their child, I am not a monster, but you are a real monster, so why do you ask?
Jaro, whose mood had improved, heard a hoarse voice: 'Boy, aren't you afraid of me anymore? The red skeleton, who had disappeared, saw someone closing their eyes: 'Of course I'm afraid of you, but I don't have the strength to run away now. Even if I had the strength to run, I wouldn't know which way to run. You monster seems to be very strong, and I know I can't escape from you. Before I die, can you grant me a wish?
Jaro, who felt weak, got no answer. It was the first time he had left the village, and he was worried about his parents' safety. Just as Jaro stood up to make sure the monster was gone, he suddenly felt a shiver down his back. He instinctively ran forward, and the Red Skull kicked his shadow out from under his feet: "Heh heh heh heh heh, boy, are you making a deal with me? Interesting, I haven't seen anyone as interesting as you in hundreds of years! Go ahead, what wish shall I grant you?
Jaro's head was spinning with worry and he ran as fast as he could, but he tripped over a stone and fell. He got up quickly and said in a panic, 'I have to go to my mother and father. Please let me go!' 'Let you go? That's absolutely impossible! Is that really what you want? To see your parents again? This wish...'
Jaro, who had given up trying to escape, replied seriously: No, you don't have to help me see my parents. I only have one wish, and that is for you to disappear forever! Jaro, who was thin, swung his left fist backwards. His attack missed, and when he saw that his fist had pierced the Red Skull, he thought the other person was going to devour his flesh and blood. He panicked and swung his left hand around, "Child, is this your wish? OK, I get it.
Jaro, who had crawled to the base of the tree, was very confused: 'You really can...' Before Jaro could finish his sentence, the Red Skull had disappeared. Jaro, who suddenly no longer felt weak, was bewildered. After making sure that there was nothing unusual about the shadow, he began to giggle foolishly: 'This is definitely fake! Yes, it must be an illusion! I heard from my father that there is a forest near the village, and that there is a plant in the forest that can emit an odour that causes hallucinations, so... Am I near the village? This is great!
But just as Jaro left the tree, he felt an unprecedented pain. The Red Skull emerged from his swollen left cheek: 'Sorry, kid, but I can only grant you half of your wish. You may not know it yet, but actually... everyone in your village has abandoned you, including your parents, of course. They have all sacrificed you to me, and I... never abandon a sacrifice! Enjoy the rest of your journey to death, child, haha!
Unable to bear the pain, Jaro repeated over and over before passing out, 'This is impossible, you're definitely lying to me, how could my mother and father abandon me?
