Chapter 3: At The Forest

DAVE’S POV

I was in the room with Isaac, Isaac couldn’t get his eyes off me, I could see the tension in his eyes, I stared at him and said, Isaac whatever happened between us at school, I am sorry when Isaac heard this he sighed and said, Scott what really happened that night, when I heard this I stared at Isaac, I still never felt like saying what had happened to me that night, however Isaac was persistent, I could see in his eyes that he wasn’t ready to let me go until I tell him, I sighed thinking of what to tell him, I finally decided to let him on everything that had happened that night. When Isaac heard all that happened he couldn’t believe it, he was in complete shock, he stared at me and said, Dave are you trying to tell me you’re a werewolf, when I heard this I quickly replied, no. Isaac however, didn’t believe me, he said to me, Dave you’re a werewolf, you got beaten by one, I stared at Isaac as he stood up, I held his hands and said, I am not a werewolf, I wasn’t beaten by any wolf and if I was do you think I would have survived it. When Isaac heard this he stared at me and said, Dave did you remember you attacked me in the school, I stared at him and said, honestly I don’t remember any of that the only thing I do remember was opening my eyes in the school toilet, and I saw you with a fire extinguisher. When Isaac heard this he replied, Dave you almost killed me and you said you don’t remember any of those, I replied, I don’t. Most times I just have this painful headache and the next thing I know is I’m out when I wake is either, I see myself somewhere else or something must have happened during my sleep. When Isaac heard this he stared at me and said, Dave you’re a werewolf and the funny thing is you don’t even know. Wow! Isaac exclaimed, I stood up, Isaac stared at me and said, Dave I know a thing or two about werewolves, and with what I saw at school today I know you’re a werewolf, and tonight is a full moon. When I heard this I stared at Isaac in surprise and said what has a full moon got to do with my condition, when Isaac heard this I could see the surprise on his face, he replied, it funny you’re a werewolf and you don’t know a thing about it. First, Dave you can’t attend Malia’s party tonight and a full moon is when all wolves have this undying thirst for blood. When I heard this I whispered silently, creep. Isaac I can’t miss Malia’s party tonight because of some superstitious believe about werewolf. Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for this? This is my chance and you’re trying to ruin it for me. Isaac exclaimed, Dave no, I’m not ruining anything. Infact, I’m trying to keep you safe, try to understand if you go into that party you will kill innocent people, and this will make you a murderer who is wanted by the authorities. I know how hard this is for you but I need you to stay safe and keep others safe as well until we figure out how to get rid of your condition or how you can control it. I stared at Isaac for a while, then I replied, no men, you can’t ruin this for me, I’ve been on the sides for far too long, everything is starting to work well for me, people are starting to know my name. I can’t lose this opportunity, besides we don’t know if this is real thing or not, when Isaac heard this he screamed, Dave see reasons with me, you can’t. When I heard this, my mind was starting to beat fast, I was slowly rising to anger, I stared at Isaac and was about to leave, then he blocked my path, I pushed Isaac to the floor and left his house. I regretted what I had done but I couldn’t lose my chance with Malia.

When I got home, I took off my bag and dropped it on the couch, I sighed and was about to enter my room, when I heard a noise, I paused for a while, then I screamed, mom, is that you, I didn’t get a response, I screamed again, mom are you back, but no response, since I didn’t get a response I went into my room, I looked at my watch and it was 7 pm already, I stood up from the bed and ran into the bathroom, I took a quick bath and was out in a jiffy, I went into my wardrobe and kept wandering what to put on, I tested 5 different clothes before I finally made my choice, I brushed my hair and ensure I was looking good, I was about to leave when I felt this painful headache, it lasted for a minute then I got myself again, I sighed and looked up and it was full moon, I remembered what Isaac had said, but I ignored and whispered in my mind, it not real, I’m not a werewolf, I’m just a regular human. I stepped to the parlor and saw my mom’s car keys on the dinning, I peeped through the window to see if her car was outside and it was, I jumped for joy and took the car key, went straight to the car and drove it to Malia’s party.

Once I got to Malia’s house, the whole place was already filled with people, students, there was all kinds of cars outside, I packed my mom’s car and stepped out, I walked straight to the door and paused for a while. I was feeling nervous, I thought within myself, what if I’m not supposed to be here? What if Malia sends me back? What if I’m not welcomed? All these questions were running through my mind when Malia suddenly opened the door, when she saw me, she screamed, oh my God, you made it. When I saw her, I couldn’t take my eyes off her, she was so beautiful with her blue gown, her hips were all out, men, I exclaimed silently, then she held my hands and said, don’t just stand there, come dance with me when I heard this, I immediately followed her inside, I saw everyone at school in the party except for Isaac, ken was also at the party, when I saw ken, I detached my hands from Malia, when Malia saw this she stared at me and noticed I was staring at ken, then she sighed, it alright, I talked to ken already and we’ve decided to go our separate ways, when I heard this, I paused in surprise and said, why would you do that? Malia replied, Ken cheated on me with another girl the first time, I forgave him, then he did it again, I was planning to let it go when I heard what he did to Isaac and what he did to you at the lobby, I had to leave him. When I heard this, I exclaimed, hold up, you were at the lobby. Malia replied, not really, but I heard it all. I sighed and said alright.

Malia suddenly took my hands and placed it on her waist, then she placed her hands on my shoulder and we both began to dance slowly. Oh my God, the feeling was so mutual, I felt so fulfilled, I looked into her eyes, she stared into mine as well. Malia asked me, Dave have you ever falling in love, I smiled and said, no, not really, but I do have someone a crush. Who is it? Malia asked, when I heard this I smiled and whispered in my mind, wow! I was about to give my response when the headache came again, this time it was so painful, I whined, aaaahhhh, when Malia saw this she was, scared, she stared at me and said Dave are you alright, I screamed again, aaaah!!! The headache was increasing, the more the headache, the angrier I get. My heart was starting to beat really fast, my body was starting to evolve, I fell on my knees, groaning in pain, Malia placed her hands on my back and said, Dave, are you alright? My claws were starting to grow out, when I saw this I couldn’t believe my eyes, I hid my hands immediately and said in a thick voice, I am okay. Malia however knew everything wasn’t alright, she could tell from my scream and the thickness of my voice, she tried to look into my face but I didnt let her, suddenly I heard a voice from behind me, Dave what are you doing here, I turned to see who it was, I wandered who could this be, then he raised me up and said, party is over, is time to take your meds. When Malia heard this she stared at the man and said is Dave sick? The man replied yes, he has this painful headache that needs treatment, when Malia heard this she was scared, she stared at the man and said, please take good care of him, give him all the treatment he needs.  The man nodded and raised me on his shoulder then we went out of the party. Malia kept staring at us from the window, I could tell she wasn’t sure what was going on, the man placed me in my mom’s car and drove off.

While the man was driving, my heart kept beating really fast, my claws were getting longer. I looked up and saw the full moon, and I felt this rush of anger, my eyes immediately turned yellow, my fangs were out, my face took the form of a wolf, at that point I wasn’t in control of myself, when the man saw this he pulled over and said, Dave I need you to calm down, and repeat this words after me, “three things cannot long be hidden, the sun, the moon and the truth,

When I heard this, I got angrier, it was like those words triggered something in me, I roared at the man and raised my claws up and was about to slit his throat but he held my hands and his eyes became red, and I felt this sudden dominance from him. I immediately freed my hands from his grasp and ran into the forest, When the man saw this he sighed and said Dave, where do you think you’re going? The man went back into the car and drove off.

ISAAC’S POV

Isaac was in his room, he couldn’t sleep, he kept thinking about Dave, he wandered, what could have happened to him, he picked his phone and dialed his line but no answer, Isaac sighed and whispered in his mind, Dave you should have listened to me.

Isaac headed to the parlor and saw claw marks on the back of his chair where Dave was sitting earlier. When Isaac saw this, he thought of something, he took out his laptop and began to make research on werewolf; he discovered 3 levels of werewolf, beta, omegas and alphas. Alpha possess the power to turn others into werewolf, when Isaac saw this, he sighed and said Scott was bitten by an alpha, however he was supposed to be a beta, but he is an omega, what really happened. Isaac was still contemplating on his thoughts when he saw something on the web, “how to be in control if you just got bitten”, he opened it and saw carved image, beneath the image was a word, it says, “three things cannot long be hidden, the sun, the moon and the truth”. When Isaac saw this he was overwhelmed. He wrote out the word on a piece of paper, then he thought to himself, how do I get the carved image.
