Kristian

“Are you sure she’ll be okay?” Stacy asked. “She’ll be fine babe.” “She won’t if she finds out you know the owner.” “He’s a good friend, babe, he won’t rat on us.” “He best not.” “He won’t. I trust him with my life. Besides, if he betrays me he won’t live to tell the tale.” “Do you think T knows what you are all part of?” “Not unless Shaun told her. If he hasn’t, it’s best we keep it to ourselves. It will scare her shitless and she’ll run without a second thought, and we can’t let that happen or Shaun will definitely find her.” “Why did you choose to help her?” “I love you babe, and she’s my friend too. I was surprised that she even looked twice at Shaun.” “She didn’t have much choice, Kristian.” “Like you didn’t Hugh?” “I chose to be with you, Kristian, she didn’t choose to be with him. He treated her like s**t, she was just an object to him, a toy to take all of his frustrations out on.” “I can’t believe he was so shallow and so hateful. I can now understand why she sought refuge in Deeks.” “And he was no better than Shaun.” “True.” I looked at her as if she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever laid my eyes on. I know that there was an age difference of almost ten years between me and Stacy, but she had always made me feel so alive. For that I am grateful. We married two years ago. We’d gotten together after a year of her working for me and beside me. I couldn’t get enough of her. She was easy going in every aspect, she always spoke her mind, and you knew exactly where you stood with her. She was the light in my darkness. I told her the truth. She knows who I and what I am, she knew who Shaun was, and she’d promised never to tell anyone, especially Tiara. It would scare her too much. If that ever happened, she would be left to fend for herself and try and hide away from Shaun. I looked deep into her emerald green eyes. Placing my hand in her face. ‘She’ll be fine, she’ll get over whatever has happened in the last four years, and she’ll get over Shaun without help. I promise.’ I got closer. ‘I promise’ I smiled, hoping it would work. There was no telling if Shaun would forget about her and move in and let her live her own life without him in it. I pressed my lips on hers, kissing her passionately.
