Chapter 31“Excuse me?” Jasper raises an eyebrow and crosses his arms as he stands in the doorway, blocking it.
The man’s face holds a hateful glare, piercingly cold blue eyes and jaw clenched tight. He steps closer, balling his twitching hands into fists. “Don’t f**k with me. I know you would know where she is. Where is she?” he demands through gritted teeth.
Jasper doesn’t move as the man he barely recognizes steps into his personal space to intimidate him. “Look, I don’t know who you are…” Jasper plays dumb. Even though his heart is pounding, he stays locked in place, unwilling to give this man the satisfaction of seeing a modicum of fear.
