Chapter 14There’s nothing Jasper wants less than to trudge up a mountain and spend the night camping. But the band committed to immersing themselves in each other’s interests for a week each and apparently, they’ll understand Simon when they reach the top of this hill that Simon will probably somehow relate to reaching new heights or conquering an uphill battle. Right now, Jasper feels like it’s a metaphor for how draining and difficult everything in his life continues to be, but he’s only had a few broken hours of sleep and maybe on another day this would inspire him to have hope and endure his challenges.
