Chapter 28“Where did you disappear to last night?” Simon asks in an unusually peppy tone the moment Jasper walks in their new practice room.
Jasper checks the time on his phone and frowns, surprised to not be getting a lecture for being almost a whole hour late. He’d been buzzing with energy after leaving Damien’s, and it took him a good few hours to come down from it. He’d also been half staying awake to call Ryan, but he fell asleep just before Ryan would have been waking up, and he’d have been at the studio by the time Jasper woke up.
The only thing standing between Jasper and a lecture is no doubt the glow Simon’s wearing, thanks to having the night with his wife.
“I felt like I was seventh-wheeling with all of you making out around me. Thought I’d skip the orgy.”
