My destined one

Chapter 3:

Days passed by and I felt something strange. It feels like we are being watched. There were nights I would stay awake until midnight and stay in the bed until afternoon. The strange feeling doesn't change as the days goes.

I always saw Jake passed by our house. He usually smiled at me and wave.

I don't understand why but I feel like there is something pulling me towards him. I want to talk to him but I still don't have the courage.

The next day..

I woke up early. It was still dark. I looked at the clock and it was 5:30 in the morning. The sun is about to rise. I took a shower and decided to get out of the house. I will hang out on the beach first. I'll watch the sunrise for the first time.

Arriving at the beach I sat on the sand. In less than a minute someone stepped aside from my seat. There was a gap between the two of us. I looked at who it was and it was Jake. I just smiled at him shyly.

"Good morning. Are you going to watch the sunrise too?" He asked and I just nodded in response. We remained silent. I remember what Heraya said. That Jake is mysterious. Maybe I can read his mind.

I tried to open his mind but I couldn't. It looks like something went wrong. Blank. It's dark.

"Don't read my mind. You won't see anything." I was surprised by what he said. But he was smiling when I looked back at him.

 "How-" I couldn't continue what I was about to say because nervousness suddenly filled me.

 "I know you're not a normal person even at the first time I saw you. I also know you're reading my mind because of the barrier I put in my mind keeps squeezing." He explained.

Well this is embarrassing.

 "How did you know I'm not a normal person?" With embarrassment, I asked him.

He just shrugged. "I don't know. I just feel it. Instinct maybe." He said.

 "Why? What are you?" With courage I asked. This is my chance. I don’t know, but I really want to know.

"I don't know what kind of creature you are but I'm a merman." I was surprised by what he said. I can't even utter a word. I didn't even notice that I was staring at him for quite some time.

"I have something to do. Please don't be angry. I just want to know something."

I could not understand what he said and at the same time as the sunrise came up he crashed his lips to mine.

I don’t know how, but there were millions of electricity crawling through my body as if it was from him. I don't understand what I'm feeling.

With his kiss, it was as if I had found what I had been looking for.

He touched my cheek and began to move his lips and deepened his kiss on me. I knew it was wrong that we just met and here I was kissing him but I couldn’t control my body. My lips spontaneously responded to his kisses.

He stepped away slightly and smiled. Our faces are still close. He flicked once and the wind stopped blowing. Even the crashing of the waves have gone from my hearing, so I turned to look at the beach. The waves litteraly stop. That means he can also stop the time.

"You're the one I've been waiting for." He whispered and claimed my lips once again.

Confused though, I couldn’t help but respond to his kisses. It was as if my lips really had a mind of their own that spontaneously succumbed to the sweet taste of his kiss.

If we hadn’t run out of breath he wouldn’t have let go of my lips.

I'm still catching my breath when I saw him bringing his lips close to mine again but I avoided him so his kiss hit my cheek. I could feel his smile because his lips were pressed to my cheek. He was giving me little kisses.

"W-Wait a minute Jake. Isn't it too fast?" I asked while avoiding the fact that he was still trying to reach my lips.

He was hugging me because of our passionate kiss earlier, even my arms are clunging on his neck. We were so close to each other that I would pushed him a little but he just pushed me closer to him.

"For you this is fast, but I've been waiting for a long time for this day to happen." He answered and quickly claimed my lips again for a peck that caught me offguard.

"I don't get it." I told him and stared into his chocolate eyes.

"You are my the one. You are destined to be my partner Samanea. We are destined." And he claimed my lips again after saying those words.

When his lips left mine because we ran out of breath, I covered his mouth with my hand.

"You love kissing don't you? Can we talk first?" I told him while giggling..

I felt him smile under my palms and nod. I removed my hand from his mouth and the madman still stole a sideways kiss from me. I slapped him lightly on the shoulder. He just laughed. The handsome man went really crazy.

I removed my arms from his neck and I thought he would let me go so we could talk but he sat behind me and hugged me again from behind. I just put my hand on his arm surrounding me and he put his head on my shoulder.

"Can you explain all of this Jake?" I asked him as we stared out at the vast motionless ocean.

"Hmmm ... It all started with a fairy I dreamed of. I can't see her face, but I can clearly hear what she's saying. She said that I had to go to the human world to find my soon-to-be-wife and help her on her mission. At first I ignored it, but it became more frequent until I dreamed of her every night. I told my parents and they did not object to what I was going to do. This is where I ended up in this village. I even thought at first that Heraya was my the one. But I don't feel any spark from her. Yes, I know she's not a normal person, but it's something else. Another year passed. and I waited patiently. Until you came the other day. When I saw you I wanted to hug you. It was as if someone was pulling me towards you. I just restrained myself. I saw how sad the expression on your face back then and the sky starts to darken. I even thought, maybe you are the one I've been waiting for, because you are not ordinary either. And I had the opportunity to meet you. I haven't sleep past nights thinking about you. I akways want to approach you but I can't find my courage. And when I saw you come out of your house a while ago while I was carrying a pile of water, I decided to follow you. I still have second thoughts you know. But I can’t really control myself. I'm being pulled towards you." He explained and buried his face in my neck as if embarrassed.

How cute.

"Does that mean it's not true that you lost your memory?" I still ask. I'm still a little confused. What I have known just now is shocking.

"Yes, it's not true. I just said that so that people wouldn't be too curious about who I was. I know I'm fooling them and that's wrong but I'll be damned if they find out the truth." He explained further and pressed his face against my neck again. He even smell my hair.

"Maybe my mother is the one who shows up in your dream ..." His head rose as it fell on my neck.

"You mean you're a fairy?" He asked in shock.

"Half fairy, half mermaid. But I don't have a tail even under the sea." I answered him.

"Really? Wow! That's great. That means when we have children, there will be mermaids and fairies as well." He exclaimed with full of excitement.

I slapped his arm. "Children right away?! You're really too fast." I teasingly exclaimed.

I got up so he also stood up. I was about to walk away when he pulled me and locked me in his arms.

"And where do you think you're going?" He asked as he brought his face closer to mine.

"You're having a lot of kisses now. Stop it.." I said while laughing. He just smiled and claimed my lips again.

How can I ignore this overflowing feeling of mine. The destined one for me is here right now in front of me.

It's right in my mother's diary that I just remembered. 'My future husband is supposed to help me in my journey..' It was Jake.

When he pulled away from my lips I spoke again.

"It's really fast for us Jake .."

"We are the ones set, we are destined for each other.. Why do we have to wait any longer?" There was still a mischievous smile on his lips.

"Stop it, we still have a mission so step aside whatever you're thinking. Let's go home to our own houses." I smiled and told him.

He just shook his head and kissed me again. "I still want to be with you ..." He whispered and kissed me again. I let him do what he want because it was the only thing that would calm him down.

With mermaids and mermans, when they meet their destined one, it is unlikely that something will happen to them immediately because of the strength of the attraction they feel. They are drawn to each other by their feelings and it grows stronger as it lasts that they don’t feel each other’s bodies. The fire must be quenched between them.

I felt Jake's kiss descended on my neck. So I barely pushed him.

"Jake .."

"Sam..please .." He pleaded. He seem not to be able to control himself anymore.

But it is not possible here. Its dangerous, he might lose control and lose his composure in time.

"Wait Jake .." He continued to kiss my neck, while his hands were moving.

"Not here.. Stop it .. You might lose control .."

Because of what I said he stop and look at me.

"Let's ask Heraya's permission."

My cheeks burned at what he said. I felt all the blood rush up from body to my cheek. He laughed a little and squeezed my cheek. He gave me another light kiss on the lips before flicking once in the air and the waves crashing on the sand and the wind blowing gets back.

He pulled my hand towards Heraya's house. He was really determined to do our mating this time.
