Prologue.
I cannot help it. My mind often wanders, but how many Realms are there? The Heartlands home of the Nikojins, Elenoir, where the Elves hail from, the list could go on, but even the sacred Realm of Gods does not hold a candle to the Human Realm, Earth. Every Realm seems to have a counter to its nature; the Demons counter the Angels, Orks against Elves. Yet, Earth’s wilderness is divided and chaotic, yet oddly organized in its unique way.
From what little we know of the Gods, they keep our Realms in balance for better or for worse, however Earth seems to run unchecked, and in recent years the scales have tipped on Earth, and in turn, it seems to affect us all. One thing has risen among every realm, however, the legends. Of course, they’re all different, and some may say a messiah will come to bring a significant era of peace for them, while others claim the end is coming. What worries me are the legends shared with realms naturally countered to each other—the Legend of Crows, Descent of Black Angels, or the Return of Angeles. Whatever seems to be happening, it seems to be brewing on Earth. With that, I have been scrying to watch significant figures that might bring about change. That’s when I made a most alarming discovery.
A Neutarian, now they’re rare enough on Earth, especially with the wars that have involved other races, but what’s most stunning is she is of golden scales, which is nearly unheard of. If she is part of God’s plan, they must be very patient or very devious. I have observed her for many decades now, and so far, she has led an everyday life, even for a Neutarian. Honestly, I had almost dismissed her as nothing special seemed to follow her life.
I wish I could say I was wrong, but I also got to see Divinity itself at work.
