SS2 is not for kids. Omowumi is now a senior girl — bold, beautiful and stubborn. Olakunle is now the Assistant Senior Prefect, cold, respected and feared by everyone. They have been enemies since SS1. In SS2, their fight gets worse because now they are seatmates and project partners. He reports her for everything. She insults him at every chance. But when a handsome new boy starts chasing Omowumi, Olakunle suddenly becomes jealous and possessive. He says he hates her, but why can't he stand seeing her with another boy?

*CHAPTER 1: Back to SS2*

SS2 Crown was the noisiest class, but when Olakunle entered, everyone kept quiet.

He was no longer just class captain. He was Assistant Senior Prefect. Two badges. Clean uniform. Cold face. All the SS1 girls liked him, but he didn't look at anyone.

Then Omowumi entered.

She had changed over the holiday. Taller, finer, her hair long, her uniform fitted. She was no longer the small SS1 girl that used to eat Gala in class.

"Good morning class," she said and walked straight to her seat.

Olakunle blocked her.

"Omowumi. You are late again. On the first day of SS2?"

Omowumi smiled. "Olakunle. Still doing security work up and down? Some people never grow."

"Omooo!" the class shouted.

"You think because you are fine now you can talk to me anyhow?" he said quietly, so only she could hear.

"I think because I'm fine now, you should talk to me nicely," she fired back.

Their class teacher, Mrs. Bello, came in.

"Welcome to SS2. For your group project this term, I will pair you myself. Omowumi and Olakunle, you are together. And you will sit together in front."

Omowumi's eyes opened wide. "Ma, why me?"

Olakunle said nothing, but his ears were red.

They sat together. The whole class was murmuring. Two enemies, one desk.

During English, a new boy named Femi was sent to SS2 Crown. He was fair, tall, and immediately looked at Omowumi.

"Wow, who's that fine girl?" Femi whispered.

Olakunle heard it. He clenched his pen so hard it broke.

He leaned towards Omowumi and whispered angrily, "Face front. Don't let that new boy deceive you."

Omowumi looked at him, confused. "Why? Are you jealous, Prefect Olakunle?"

Olakunle coughed. "Jealous? Me? I just hate you. Don't get distracted and fail our project."

But his heart was beating fast. He hated Omowumi.

So why did he hate it more when another boy looked at her?

Untitled Episode
Chapter 1: Back to SS2 SS2 Crown was known as the most stubborn class in the whole school. Noisy, rude, always in trouble. But when Olakunle entered, the noise died. He was no longer the small class captain from SS1. He was now the Assistant Senior Prefect. His uniform was always clean, his beret straight, his shoes shining. He had two badges now and a cold face that made even SS3 students respect him. All the girls in SS1 and SS2 liked him, but he never looked at any girl twice. Then the door opened. Omowumi walked in. She had changed during the long holiday. She was taller now, her skin glowing, her school uniform well ironed and fitted. Her hair was packed in a long ponytail that bounced when she walked. She was no longer the small girl that used to eat Gala in class in SS1. She used to be his biggest headache, and she was back. "Good morning, SS2 Crown," she said with a small smile and wanted to go to her seat. Olakunle stood in front of her, blocking the way. "Omowumi. First day of SS2 and you are already late? Some people never change." Omowumi looked at him from head to toe and folded her arms. "Olakunle. First day of SS2 and you are still doing gate man work? Some people never grow." The whole class shouted, "Omooooo! War has started!" Olakunle clenched his jaw. No one talked to him like that except her. Only Omowumi had the mouth to challenge him since SS1. "You think because you are now forming fine girl, you can talk to me anyhow?" he whispered so only she could hear. "And you think because you have two small badges, you can block my way? Shift, Mr. Prefect," she whispered back and pushed past him. Everyone was laughing and looking at them. They had been enemies since SS1, everyone knew. Just then Mrs. Bello, their new class teacher, entered with a long list. "Welcome to SS2. This year is very important. You will do a group project that will count for 40% of your final exam. I will pair you myself so there is no cheating." The class groaned. Mrs. Bello started calling names, "Tolu and Fathia... Chinedu and Emeka..." Then she looked up, "Omowumi and Olakunle. You two will be partners." "What?!" Omowumi and Olakunle shouted at the same time. "Ma, please, not me. I can't work with her. She is too stubborn and troublesome," Olakunle said. "Ma, I reject him too. He will just be ordering me around like I'm his junior," Omowumi complained. Mrs. Bello dropped her pen. "That is exactly why I paired you. Two stubborn heads must learn to work together. And from today, you will sit together in front. Carry your bag now." Omowumi felt like crying. The whole class was shouting, "Couple of the year! Couple of the year!" She angrily carried her school bag and sat beside Olakunle in front. His perfume was strong. He was looking straight at the board, but his ears were red. "Don't touch me," he said coldly. "Don't even breathe near me," she replied and brought out her book, drawing a line in the middle of the desk with her pen. "This is my side. Cross it and you will see." Olakunle smirked, "Childish." During English period, the principal brought a new student to their class. "This is Femi, he just transferred from another school. He will be joining SS2 Crown." Femi was tall, fair, with fine haircut. As soon as he entered, his eyes landed on Omowumi. He smiled at her and whispered to the boy beside him, "Who is that fine girl in front?" Olakunle heard it clearly. His hand tightened on his pen until the pen broke and ink poured on his book. He turned and looked at Omowumi, who was pretending not to hear but was smiling small. He leaned close to her and said in an angry low voice, "Face front. Focus on your book. Don't let that new boy confuse you." Omowumi looked at him, surprised. "Wait... are you jealous, Prefect Olakunle?" Olakunle coughed loudly and adjusted his tie. "Jealous? Me? I just... I just hate you. And I don't want you to fail our project because you are following boys." Omowumi laughed softly. "You hate me, but your eyes are doing another thing." Olakunle didn't answer. He just kept looking at the board, but his heart was beating fast, gbim gbim. He truly hated Omowumi. So why did he hate it more when another boy looked at her?
